Anyone going to this should have an appointment with a psychologist for PTSD lined-up for the next day.

We only won those as we had a manager that knew how to beat the big teams.
When Moyes was our manager last, we beat Chelsea 1-0 at home, drew 1-1 with them away, and draws with Man Utd and Arsenal. Those were also much stronger incantations of those teams than they have now.

Re: 2019/2020 Relegation Thread

We’ve got about six winnable games left: Brighton at Home Southampton at Home Burnley at Home Norwich Away Watford at Home Villa at Home We might scrape points from Wolves and Newcastle. Essentially we cannot afford to slip up in any of those games. 3/1 on us going down is massive at the moment. Gi...

Re: David Moyes - 18th Permanent Manager of WHUFC

he was good at everton but was awful at sunderland, in spain and failed at man utd. his spell with us was the basic requirement of keeping us up which he achieved by playing the most awful football. he will do the same now and I wont be back for next season if the football is as bad again. he says ...

Re: Manager 18 - David Moyes: yes or no? [POLL]

What other managers were available and willing to join us at short notice? Made this point way back in the thread. Some would argue we should take as long as necessary to find the best new manager for the long term. I would agree, but the timing dictates a quick appointment is necessary. If we don’...

Re: ⚽ West Ham United v Bournemouth: Match thread (01/01)

Moyes to start with a defeat and follow it up with a Cup exit. He only managed 9 wins out of 30 last time he was here. Mate at the moment we’re on 2 wins in 13 with 9 defeats in there. I’d settle for a similar ratio that Moyes got last time until the end of the season. No idea how this match will g...

Re: David Moyes - 18th Permanent Manager of WHUFC

Looked in detail at Moyes’ time in charge last time, and overall I’d say it was ok. Not great, not terrible. Wins Chelsea home 1-0, Stoke away 3-0, West Brom home 2-1, Huddersfield away 4-1, Watford home 2-0, Southampton home 3-0, Leicester away 2-0, Everton home 3-1. Draws Leicester home 1-1, Arsen...

Re: Manager 18 - David Moyes: yes or no? [POLL]

No there are much better options but the cost money, for bringing in Hugil alone I wouldn't have him here again Playing devil’s advocate a bit here, but if we’re picking out the biggest wastes brought in by managers, all of our recent ones (and probably the ones before my time too) have had their o...

Re: Manager 18 - David Moyes: yes or no? [POLL]

Put unsure.

Is he the man I want managing us? No. Do I think we can do better right now? Probably not.

Even if we could, it’d take quite some time to find that manager and tempt him here given what a shambles we are right now, and we have crucial matches coming up plus the January window.

Re: Who Next? The odds

Telegraph say it’s either Moyes or Pulis. Pulis. If we end up signing Tony Pulis I sincerely hope none of you goes to another match this season. If I had a season ticket that would be the last straw, perhaps irredeemably. Tony Pulis. I’m absolutely gobsmacked. Wouldn’t be surprised if this was a pl...

Re: ⚽ West Ham United v Leicester City: Match thread (28/12)

One of our (many) problems is that mentally we collapse we concede. If we go 1-0 down it’s game over, and if a team equalizes against us they inevitably win.

1-3 to Leicester I reckon.

Re: ⚽ Crystal Palace v West Ham United: Match thread (26/12)

I know a lot were in favour of having the same midfield as against Southampton, but I really don’t like it and don’t want to ever see it again. Fornals is out of position, and the rest of them are too slow and ponderous. It worked in one match but I can’t see it working apart from in isolated spells...

We are a racist nation. Simple as. Now, how do we sort it out? Unfortunately, with Boris in power and Brexit on the horizon, sadly, it is going to get worse before it gets better. There have been no incidents of widespread racism at football matches in recent years. There have been a lot of small-s...

This will be a good test, and think we will get a hard fought draw. 2-2, I would go with this team, Snodgrass right back and Anderson on the right. Give Antonio a free role just off Haller. Fabianski Snodgrass Balbuena Ogbonna, Cresswell Anderson Rice Noble Fornals Antonio Haller. Subs: Martin, Zab...

Re: Board vs Pellegrini [POLL]

I'm surprised 'both' isn't winning the poll, but perhaps that's because people are influenced by the word "equally". It isn't equal. Pellegrini has messed up this season, but he hasn't messed up for nine years as the owners have. Now the chickens are coming home to roost and I actually think it coul...
