Re: Other PL games 28th-30th

Arsenal are pretty bang average but Aubameyang and Lacazette are too top strikers and likely to make the difference between them finishing mid-table or top 6. In contract Man U have scored more than 1 goal once in 15 games, that is a truly staggering stat. That being said I still doubt we’ll finish...

Not seen a game this tournament more riddled with mistakes than this Scotland Samoa match.

He needs to start scoring more goals to justify the price tag though.
For goodness sake, he’s got 3 in 6 matches. A rate of one every two matches over the season and he scores close to 20 goals.

Re: ⚽Oxford United v West Ham United: LC R3 Match Thread

Just watched the highlights - absolutely shocking defending for the 3rd and 4th, and not great for the 1st either. FIWW, I watched the 2nd several times and I reckon the scorer was offside, but even then the defence were a shambles, PabZab had pushed up with the rest and was holding a line, then th...

I've now got a bad feeling about tomorrow's match against the USA. Thanks West Ham.....
I bloody well hope not. I'm going to the match tonight with my American mate...

Any other Hammers in Kobe for the match by chance? Might wear our away shirt since it's pretty much the only one t-shirt I have.

Re: ⚽Oxford United v West Ham United: LC R3 Match Thread

Watching the goals, Roberto was about as useful as a cardboard cutout that had been soaked in water. He was poor, but not the reason we lost tonight. Look at the "contributions" from Balbuena, Masuaku, Fornals, Diop and Zabaleta on those goals...completely useless. I really hope we never ever play ...

Re: On Carlos Sanchez...

Right who is ready to come back on this thread and say he's not that bad and shouldn't be called crap? He is a really terrible player. I said this before, but I almost don't care who we play as a back-up defensive midfielder - Zabaleta, Balbuena, Cardoso, some player from the youth team - Carlos San...

Re: Manuel Lanzini (New Contract Signed)

Hard hat on. Can’t see it being a huge loss. Think he’s overrated on this forum. Struggles to influence games, seems to only impose himself in the latter stages when (if) the game gets stretched. Easily knocked off the ball. Don’t get me wrong, happy he’s in our squad, but others will step in and s...

Can't believe lanzini is missing. Any optimism I had has now drifted off. I've got my usual west ham pessimism sorry folks.
Feeling the same.

Hoping Fornals can do the business but can’t help thinking it’s a big blow. Lanzini not starting and Cresswell playing...

Re: Rugby Union World Cup.

I’ve seen about two tries reviewed prior to this game in this World Cup so far.

England have had two reviewed in the first 25 minutes. The second one was clearly a try but the ref still reviewed it, hmm...

Re: Rugby Union World Cup.

England somehow getting the toughest pool again with France & Argentina. I'll be happy enough to see anyone but the Kiwis win it. Seemed like that when the draw was made, but I’d say it’s now perhaps the easiest group. Australia, Wales, Fiji Ireland, Scotland, Japan, Samoa New Zealand, South Africa...

Game v USA is the one I'm looking forward to most. 11.45am kick off on a Thursday. Off to the pub! Be interesting to see how many others in London will be nipping out for lunchtime pints! :D I’ll be at that one in Kobe next week. Going with an American mate, should be fun. Think it’ll be a great Wo...

Where’s that thread about there being no world class English players again?

Sterling so clearly is. What’s funny is the way people have always gone on about Bale - Sterling is better.

No. I go to watch players like Rice play, not to see Sullivan sitting there with £90 million in his pocket.

Re: England Versus Bulgaria

Was there tonight. My thoughts: - Sterling is world class. - Rice was excellent but is generally unappreciated by England fans. He broke up about half of Bulgaria’s attacks (though they were quite rare) and I don’t remember him misplacing a single pass. - Kane’s penalties are better than Noble’s, bu...

Re: Update on where you think we'll finish

Man Utd, Chelsea and (to some extent) Arsenal all look weak this season compared to usual. There is definitely potential there for one of those outside teams like Wolves, Everton, Leicester or ourselves to break the top 6 or even the top 4. However, I don’t think it’ll be us. Our defense isn’t good ...

Re: Was the Atmosphere more positive Saturday

The second half was good in general, a really positive feeling around the place. As others have mentioned though, it’s simply to do with how the team is playing, and that was also true at the Boleyn. Also agree with those saying it’s too big to get the kind of cohesive singing going that we had at t...

Re: Relegation thread 2019/20

Hoping for Sheff Utd but something tells me they’ll have just enough. Can see them finishing 17th. I reckon it’ll be Norwich and Brighton for sure. People overreacted when Brighton beat Watford, but they’re still essentially the same side that scraped survival last season, except that the league as ...
