Apollogise for bringing up some history but we were told when we moved that in the transfer market we would be battling for star galacticos and paying star bucks.
...and you believed them?

Re: Leicester City v West Ham United: Match Thread

We deserved to lose based on the first half alone. Moyes got the set up and team completely wrong... we need to push forward with 442 from here on. Second we were much better... but it would have been criminal if we got anything after that first half performance. Ref was literally making it up as he...

Re: How much do you care about relegation?

0 This is West Ham... irrespective of owners, managers, players, this is what are and what we've always been. We could have better managers, be run better, have better players but it's always short lived... we always bounce back to fighting relegation, it's in our DNA. At 35 years old I've seen us w...

Re: The January Transfer Window 2020

I think Moyes is still in a bit of disbelief that a premier league team has appointed him as manager, probably can't believe his luck. Done well at Everton 20 years ago, failed everywhere else since. He's happy for 1 or 2 transfers on the cheap, of course he is, he does as he's told, Sullivan has g...

Re: England Cricket: tour of South Africa

This has been a really 'coming of age' tour for many of these players. Right now it is probably a Foakes away from a good, balanced team / squad once you consider Parkinson is a viable leg spinner (Crane is also still young enough to push on), Olly Stone and Jamie Overton (when fit) are good alterna...

Re: The January Transfer Window 2020

We're probably 2 players short at the moment, and that is based on faith being put in players who are maybe not up to it CM: Wilshere's continued absence and Sanchez being past it means we do need someone in the middle. That is crucial at the moment with Noble seemingly not up to doing 2 in a week. ...

Re: The January Transfer Window 2020

I can honestly see Chelsea being after Rice in the summer... I believe Lampard has some romantic notion of having Rice and Mount together in the midfield. I'd expect us to play that chip... 'give us Barkley until the end of the season and throw him into any deal for Rice in the summer and we'll make...

Re: The January Transfer Window 2020

Disagree that that’s true. Randolph was generally about the level of Adrian’s worst, for the most part, and couldn’t take his chance to replace him. It’s a really bad sign if you make your manager admit his mistake by being notably worse than the man you replace. He isn’t and wasn’t as good as Rand...

Re: The January Transfer Window 2020

I’m not disputing the amount of games they played, but the way they were shared out is still how I said. Adrian started as first choice and ended the season as first choice. It’s not great that you come in for an under performing goalkeeper and then lose your place for being worse. An irrelevant ar...

Re: The January Transfer Window 2020

Adrian dislodged himself for a mistake against Stoke. Randolph was then put in goal only to lose his place for being pretty **** and making mistakes himself. Still, if Fabianski gets injured again we’ll all be confident with Randolph in goal...right? Both played 20+ games that season... he was as m...

Re: The January Transfer Window 2020

We’ve just signed our old 3rd choice keeper, to now be 2nd choice as our 1st choice is injured. Trouble is, the guy we’ve signed who used to be 3rd choice and is now 2nd choice is also injured. Third choice? Pardon... He came in as competition / back up to Adrian in his first season... but the seco...

One bright spark recently has been his growth as a player... it speaks volumes of him.

For me ahead of Lanzini in the pecking order now and should be starting.

Long term he has a bright future.

Re: The January Transfer Window 2020

Surely the problem isn't right back (Zab is still a decent RB) but moreso RWB (Zab can't do that role twice in a week) given Moyes' appeared preferred formation being 352... which surely Antonio is a great candidate for? You'd effectively be rotating Antonio, Zab with Fredericks back in 4 - 5 weeks....

Re: Preston north end and David moyes

I made the point on the other thread about our lack of investment in the scouting department. We had 5 scouts under Pelle, and 2 were his son and Hussilos's, who have both now left. Moyes had a third party study done and in all aspects the club is a shambles, if you recall the dwarf said when he hi...

Re: The January Transfer Window 2020

Fernandes... hadn't heard of him a week ago (like most) so I am not too fussed if we get him on not. Decent enough YouTube video but there are more questions than answers with him and something doesn't quite smell right. I honestly wouldn't mind Butland and Allen... Butland is like Fabianski 8 or 9 ...
