[City fans] were surprised we went for him
I'm not surprised G&S went for him, he's exactly the kind of shiny big name their egos crave. What does surprise me is he said yes.

I think when they printed it they misheard the interview. I had to play it twice - "we DIDN'T play well......."
Fair enough, if that's what he said. What should still worry him is that so many believed the original misheard version without question.

Re: Rugby Union World Cup.

The last play of the half summed up Ireland. A penalty to Ireland 5 metres from the line was immediately reversed by an Ireland player diving into the ruck leading with his shoulder.

Re: Rugby Union World Cup.

Ireland are being overwhelmed, noticeably slower than the Kiwis. On the rare occasion they manage to get into the opposition half, they make a handling error or concede a silly penalty.

I notice Ireland's hooker is wearing a white scrum cap. They're playing with a white ball.

Quite Interesting @qikipedia

After the crew on the 1943 movie ‘Lifeboat’ had reported actress Tallulah Bankhead for refusing to wear underwear, Alfred Hitchcock was supposed to have remarked: “I don't know if this is a matter for the costume department, make-up, or hairdressing.”

Re: Tyre damage

That could be interpreted as sidewall damage. When a sidewall punctures it usually lets go all at once, rather than the more prolonged tread puncture. A speed bump or pothole even taken gently could cause that to pop.

Re: Little things that irritate you

I've just changed to Tesco from Virgin, because I got zero signal at home from Virgin (EE). I was on a £6 per month rolling contract (I'm a very light user, I never made a dent in my minimal allowances) but considered Tesco (O2) at £7.50 per month worth it for the vastly better signal. The increased...
