Re: ⚽ West Ham United v Manchester City: Match Thread (10/8)

Different season same lousy defending. Is it the manager that’s not up to it or the players?

Re: Was Noble right to do what he did?

Let’s get this right. That wasn’t a fan Noble confronted. That was a moron filled with self entitlement who effectively ended our chances of getting anything out of the game.

Was Noble right to shove him to the ground? Probably not, but I certainly don’t blame him.

Sounds like a familiar waste of time. Has Sullys bargain basement scattergun all over it.
An absolutely spot on assessment in my view

Re: The Daves’ Legacy?

The legacy is simple. They are the owners that disbanded West Ham United and opened up a franchise in the middle of a soulless, windswept Park a few miles down the road.

Re: Manchester Utd v West Ham Utd: match thread (EFL Cup)

When did we become a club that thinks it's ok to play 2nd string players in a cup quarter final? The game just didn't matter and it was ok to be sloppy. I'm ashamed of what we have become.

Re: Allardyce: Stick or twist

I can't think of a single reason not to sack Sam. That said, it's already 2 weeks too late. There is no time for a new manager to settle and reorganise the squad. I reckon the Dave's have screwed us by doing nothing - again!

I should also mention the way Johnny Byrne brought out the best in Hurst.
I wasn't lucky enough to see Johnny Byrne play. I remember him being held in high regard by the older fans though. The same with Jim Standen, but we'd just signed Bobby Ferguson when I started going.

Re: Did anyone on here see Hurst, Peters and Moore play for WH?

I started going at the beginning of the 1967/8 season so I was lucky enough to see all 3 in claret & blue. Sadly I don't think I was old enough to really appreciate them as a trio as Peters left & we got a p*sshead in exchange. I remember Hurst making runs to the near post and he was my hero...

. Arsenal built and have nearly paid for a barand new 60,000 seat stadium ...... and yet , somehow, Spurs battle on at the Lane , getting into the CL and possibly doing so for a second time this season . That would be because they have a sugar daddy currently residing in Bermuda that sends over shed...

Re: Crystal Palace FC v West Ham United - match thread

Does anyone else think it's time for Noble to be "rested?" There's no shortage of effort from him but quality is another matter. His game seems to be going backwards. His man of the match award against Peterborough beggered belief. Again tonight he gave the ball away on too many occasions.

Re: West Ham Utd v Aldershot Town: match thread

Hopefully Aldershot will have a massive West Ham fan playing for them tonight. Jamie Collins signed for them this season from Newport. Some of you may possibly remember a good FA Cup run by Havant & Waterlooville a few years back that culminated in them losing at Anfield. Jamie was a member of t...

Re: Manager XIV [POLL Two]

I can't believe some of the vitriol written about Sam Alladice, especially the personal stuff. Well for the record I saw him on several occasions in Portugal during the European Championships. He sat with the England fans, openly chatted with them on every occasion, was open and honest and came acro...
