Re: England -v- Brazil & then -v- Belgium
Dunk plays for Brighton Do you mean Dan Burn perhaps? - If so, isn't he the weak lonk in Newcastle's back line, when on the left? Not mobile enough: nippy skillful wingers get around him, and his support play in possession is non-existant. Seems to me to be an old-fashioned CB stuck filling in at f...

Re: England -v- Brazil & then -v- Belgium
I would be disappointed if Gallagher makes the squad, I don't particularly rate him and especially for England. I have a bad feeling Bowen isn't going to be selected, just a gut instinct. I'll probably get slated for suggesting this but what about Lewis Dunk for left back? He looks good for Newcastl...

Re: England -v- Brazil (C4 from 1900)
Has nothing to do with football being played on paper, he literally has played there before and has the skillset to do it. He’s no real threat out wide for England against good sides

Re: England -v- Brazil (C4 from 1900)
Foden as a winger just doesn’t do it for England like Man City, doesn’t even look dangerous against decent sides.
I don’t understand why he can’t play in the middle (where he started his career) with his passing and composure

Re: ✍️ Welcome Mohammed Kudus
As mentioned in the match thread, i don't think i have ever been as expectant of a goal when a player has the ball just outside the box on their left foot he seems to arrow every shot into the corner from that distance, regardless of how many defenders in the way I completely agree, seems like is b...

No doubt Ings is absolutely clinical in training lolPuff Daddy wrote: ↑Fri Mar 15, 2024 10:33 am You do realise, do you not, he probably does that routinely every day in training and that Danny Ings belts in loads on the training ground every day, too

Scholes deserves more stick for turning down multiple World Cups, he didn’t even have to play the friendlies and qualifiers

Re: Football boots
I haven't played in a while but all the boats seem so thin now. I remember when I was younger, the Nike Vapor's were huge but always scared me since I was skinny and felt could easily break your ankle. Also they were striker boots. Are they all like that these days? Did see Declan's shoe "Adida...

Rob Whittaker is an absolute warrior! Great fight with Paulo Costa, who people don't like because is a pretty boy but is also incredibly tough

Re: Controversial Opinions
Am quite looking forwards to a year or two (no more), without European football. Thursdays and Sundays have become a real drain on my enthusiasm, especially when the football is as bad as it has been when you get there. Will still have European football but will be back to Saturday matches after we...

Some wise people on here and fair play to those who are either taking a break or have completely knocked it on the head. I’ve stopped for a month now. I was never an every day drinker but drank 2-3 times a week reasonably heavily. The trouble with that is you are hungover half the week! Lime and So...

Yaya Toure was one of the most impressive players I've ever seen when he was on. Kudus will be in top 5 eventually! We are so lucky to have him

The results in a lot of these matches always surprise me. Often from countries I’ve barely heard of beating teams with few players from massive clubs.
I know there are good players everywhere, but still find interesting. They must be playing out of their skins for the shirt

Re: Throw-in - one for the referees [non WHU]
Just for the novelty, I'd like us to retain possession from one our throw ins. It's infuriating because it's something that could be easily sorted in training. As for foul throws, how about when the ball is out of play and being held by a player who then lobs it at his mate who's still on the pitch...

Re: West Ham United vs Brighton & Hove Albion: match thread
You can say Moyes plan worked if he was settling for a draw, but in reality we were extremely lucky not to concede. Only 2 real chances that I remember being JWP and Soucek (don't understand how he missed so bad)

Even though I can't go full on like Pinks, I am now convinced we will at least get Champions League! Shoot for the moon and hit the stars (something to that effect)
