Re: The Relegation Thread
All this talk of a low points tally needed to stay up but back in 2011 it was very similar at this stage of the season with just 6 pts separating 11th to 20th. 2010/11 11 Everton 27 -1 33 12 Aston Villa 28 -12 33 13 Fulham 28 0 32 14 Blackburn 28 -11 32 15 Blackpool 28 -13 32 16 Birmingham 26 -10 30...

Re: West Ham United -v- Aston Villa - 12.3.23 - Match Thread
Hopefully a victory will keep the plebs at bay for another week. The Chairman doesn't deserve all the vitriol and disgusting personal comments he receives everytime results take a blip, it's tiresome, and just shows you up. You are David Sullivan and I claim my £ 5 and free subscription to the Dail...

Re: The Relegation Thread
We have 4 home games on the spin now, 3 in the league v Villa, Southampton & Newcastle.
Really need to get 6-7 pts from these games.
That will leave us with 6 away games from the final 10 including difficult trips to City, Fulham & Brentford.

Re: AEK Larnaca v West Ham United: match thread
The issue for me is will they cope given performamce yesterday v against manure. It is a poor cup and not winning next Sat could be crucial. I'm not convinced they can be lifted after yesterday, without a change at the top. If we go down it could be a long time before we come back. Lots of departur...

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!
If we got the most recent Everton version of Benitez its a like for like swap imo. Don't see it improving. We don't have the squad to sit deep and grind results. Any new appointment needs to be a breath of fresh air and release our players to express themselves. To be fair to Benitez, he did give E...

Well the point is Noble can't take over as he doesn't have the qualifications to.VeniceHammer wrote: ↑Sat Mar 04, 2023 7:05 pm At this point? Who the **** cares. This guy needs to be gone a year ago. Christ’s sake, he’s the worst manager of the last 10 years in the PL, and statistics have my back.

For those saying Noble in, does he even have any coaching badges ? I thought that was the minimum requirement for Prem managers nowdays.
I reckon Sullivan is on the phone to Benitez's agent right now

Re: Late David Gold, Sullivan and Brady
Found this thread on page 3 which has a certain irony.
Lady Brady in the S*n today claims that the London Stadium was the best thing to happen to West Ham since the 1980 FA Cup win.
How depressing is that !?
The sooner her & Sullivan are gone the better

Re: Europa Conference League 22-23

London Stadium will then play host to the return a week later on Thursday 16 March at 8pm GMT as David Moyes' men ...

Re: Europa Conference League 22-23
We played on the same night as Spurs last season in the group stages, was meant to happen twice but their final conference home game was cancelled. It will be up to the Met to decide depending on who we draw, Arsenal are playing Sporting Lisbon and I don't think that will be considered a high catego...

Re: The Relegation Thread
96/97 was incredibly close. We had one more point than the 41 of the 4th from bottom team, plus Middlesboro (who were relegated)had had 3 points deducted and without that could have finished on 42,like us, with a slightly higher GD Taking 4 points off Sunderland proved crucial that season, they were ...

Re: The Relegation Thread
96/97, we were actually comfortable in mid-table about 15 games in. So I suppose there would have been little pressure until slightly later. Of course, we still had to stick, but going that far back, managers generally got a lot more time. You may remember the protests on the pitch when we lost to ...

Re: The Relegation Thread
Nearly 100 years later and we're still a basket case of a club.
I do think if we lose on Saturday then the stadium turns toxic and Moyes will be sacked.

Re: The Relegation Thread
The only thing I will say, is how do we count the ones we've stuck by that have kept us up, what's the measurement for it? For example, 14/15. We were in a relegation battle under Allardyce, but stayed up fairly comfortably. Even under Redknapp in 01/02. We were in danger early after about 10 games...

Re: The Relegation Thread
I was just reading on Wikipedia about our season in 1932/33. We finished 20th in Division 2 which is our lowest ever league finish and the closest we've ever been in dropping down to the third tier. We conceded a league high 93 goals but won 4 of the last 5 games to stay up including our only away w...
