His record here isn't much worse than his French one. He's proven to be about as prolific as Carlton Cole and generally less effective. Fingers crossed he hits form here, but how he got his reputation in France is beyond me.

Re: West Ham Utd v Manchester Utd: Match Thread FA Cup 3rd Rnd

I would be more than happy for him to play a team of kids. If there is one season where WHU can't afford to be distracted from staying up by having a cup run or by getting more injuries to important players, this is it. Odd post. We're 11th, four wins away from safety with 18 games left and a stron...

Re: Reading FC v West Ham United: Match Thread

This is gona be a lesson in counter-attacking football. They are so desparate for the points so they will throw everything at us. Then we just soak it up and catch them on the break. If Sam sets us up right I think they will play right into our hands and we will take the 3 points back to London. Ma...

Should make it hard for them to score with that Liverpool team.

Any idea of subs yet?

Re: West Ham United v Manchester City: Match Thread

Let's hope we don't get an injury at the back.

Chambers or Spence facing Tevez, Nasri, Balotelli and Dzeko (with Aguero to come on) would be a bit of a baptism of fire.

Demel away from being our best side, probably.

I think we'll win comfortably. We owe them a couple.

Does anyone else have a horrible feeling this is going to be the new 'Tevez/Ashton' and 'Ashton/Bellamy' in terms of being a wonderful partnership that never actually happens for whatever reason?

Re: West Ham United v Sunderland: Match Thread

Another month before Carroll's back isn't it? I think Tomkins deserves to be ahead of Collins in the pecking order. Nothing against Collins particularly, I just think Tomkins was our best centre back last season and I think he can absolutely make the step up. Other than that, I'd just bring Jarvis i...

Re: Norwich City v West Ham United: Match Thread.

Intriguing half. Reminds me a lot of the games we won away last season Pretty flat. Silly errors going unpunished and Championship-level opposition. Collins is really lucky. Was outside the area, but awful timing on the tackle. Needs to cut that out second half. Has made a few errors today. Diame lo...

Re: Summer 2012 Transfer and Rumours Thread

We could do a lot worse than Gabbidon on a one-year deal as emergency cover.

We've brought in the rest of the 06/07 squad this window. Might as well got the whole hog. Where's Carl Fletcher these days?

Re: West Ham United v Fulham: Match Thread

Duff? Really? Didn't even think he was their best player I thought Diarra was very good for them. IMO Momo Diame was the best player on the pitch, strength, acceleration, vision, great dribbling, looked like he was playing against children at times. Maybe with children. I don't know what game you w...
