Re: Sheeeeeeeeeeeeeeit
From that video it looks like they stopped cars crossing in the few seconds before the impact. Or were just lucky that no cars seemed to be crossing at that time. That's what I though. Loads of cars/lorries shooting across immediately before and then suddenly nothing as the boat is about to crash.

Yeah, apart from the fact that he visited the site multiple times during the "conversion" stage and would have had access to all of the plans at an early stage. How could he have possibly known how **** it would be once we got there.

This is referring to the earlier 2p cut from January as well I think. Combined it will save someone on an average salary £900 per year.dasnutnock3 wrote: ↑Wed Mar 06, 2024 1:48 pm This 2p cut in NI will apparently add up to “£900”. What’s that? Over 40 years or something?

Re: Olympic Stadium Discussion and Questions
I don't think they would disappear. Many people are inherently opposed to change at any level, particularly concerning football. I had a great day out one weekend in May watching Lazio win the scudetto at the Olympic stadium in 1998. The Stadio Olympico is very much an athletics stadium where they ...

Re: Olympic Stadium Discussion and Questions
I was a regular at Upton Park from Autumn 1968. I used to go virtualy every week through the 70s and eighties, a chicken run standing STH inthe eighties. I never thought Upton Park was a fantastic ground. The chicken run was a fantastic terrace, but I never loved the ground that much. I loved watch...

Re: Olympic Stadium Discussion and Questions
Some real good points made by both sides of the fence of late. Kentish mentioned Fulham and Brighton fans protesting to effect board change. It must be my age mate but remind me what they did and numbers. Sitting here and I can't bloody remember what they did. Fulham fans launched a campaign called...

Re: Olympic Stadium Discussion and Questions
The argument a couple of pages back about accepting you can't change anything and making the best of the situation - surely the question here is whether we could make a difference with a co-ordinated campaign. If everyone who hates the stadium and feels conned were to vote with their feet and stay a...

Re: West Ham United v Brentford : match thread
Yeah thats the alternative view and a well founded view in my opinion, but l was coming from the view that a lot of fans have and that is that Moyes had lost the changing room, run out of ideas and is an outdated manager with outdated views of the game. Last night showed he has a plan and the playe...

Re: West Ham United v Brentford : match thread
Good game last night and well done to the manager, yet again he proves a lot of us wrong. Well done to the team, they looked like a team again. I have just one gripe, can anyone tell me if Zuma is playing in 16 lace hole Coal Miner boots. He was so clumsy last night, he doesnt look fit at all. Look...

Re: Olympic Stadium Discussion and Questions
I don't think this is an issue. Besides, the fella doesn't seem to be the type who'd make a show of being non-WHU. My first ever ST was at Southend. I was 13 and London was a long was on the train. My dad used to watch Orient when West Ham played away. As did many Hammers. Yes, but Southend and Ori...

Which brings us back to the start again - why move and lose what we had at Upton Park (which while not perfect was miles better than the situation we are now in).

The Man U 7-1 was in the league wasn't it?
Topped off by Roy Keane tripping himself up and getting awarded a penalty for it.
