I know three Liverpool fans and all three of them say Origi other than some high profile goals has been pretty much useless when given minutes.
He's been given 1294 minutes in the league in the last 4 seasons. He actually has 9 goals and 2 assists from those.

Re: January 2022 Transfer Window

My memory of that period was of him failing to score time and time again, but apparently he scored twice for us. He got a goal and an assist in his debut against Blackpool? He scored against Aston Villa and missed a sitter against Blackburn. We then lost to Villa in additional time and drew...

Re: January 2022 Transfer Window

£15m for Caleta-Car doesn't seem a lot. Not even really a gamble at that price. Hopefully that's one we can get done and not decide against as we can't loan him.

Re: January 2022 Transfer Window

A £10m loan fee for Man Utd is just a £10m fee. If we match that, a £10m permament, would have to see if they accept. Lingard could easily turn down their offer, though this type of offer might be one that suits him...

We all know we would have been better off signing neither Benrahma nor Watkins right? :)
Disgaree.

Benrahma was firing us to the title, but it's all Diop's fault.

Re: January 2022 Transfer Window

The point I was trying to make was that the use of data using an arbitrary starting point (and in my case, an arbitrary end point) suits your (or my) argument. I was simply asking the question of who you think for £25m would've been better than Benrahma. Or if you want to go the data route, who you...

Ollie Watkins scored 14 Premier League goals last season. Who else in that price range do you think would have more?
Answering a question with a question...nice one.

There are better attacking midfielders out there than Benrahama too.
Well there you go, but I'm happy enough with someone who has 5 goals and 4 assists in the league for us this season. Whoelse for that price range in his position do you think would have more?

Re: January 2022 Transfer Window

If that’s true and Man Utd would sell him to us permanently, then let’s hope we make it happen. They’ve taken the 6 points from us they can and cup tied him.

In all seriousness, does it just give our owners more of an adrenaline rush to wait until the last few days?
Well there is no rush now is there? Doesn't matter if we sign anyone Today or on the last day. We have no fixtures this month and our next game is against a 6th tier side in the FA Cup.

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!

He is actually one of the the lowest paid managers in the league. I'm sure he's not doing too badly IB... Anyway, I'm not laying into him. He's the best manager we've had in ages and what he's done here twice has been great and I hope he is given money to spend and continues to build, but it's not ...

With Antonio now off to play 3 WCQ in 7 days, we have to move now surely?

The deadline day scattergun hoping we bag someone really won't wash this time.
We should've moved as soon as he decided he was playing International football.

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!

There’s a difference between limited options and no options and someone who is paid as well as he is, has to look at how best to use the options he has. Leeds at home - Lanzini as a deeper sitting midfielder, being pulled apart. The option was Kral. Is it the best option he could have? No, but it’s ...

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!

No club wins away at those clubs very often, but managers will chalk one up every so often. We’ve just given examples of Pellegrini getting 2 and Bilic having at least 3. As Ace says, a sample size of 45 is too big to just find an excuse for. It’s obviously a problem. The one thing I will say for Mo...

Re: ⚽ Manchester Utd vs West Ham Utd: match thread

This sounds like a sensible line but it's based on a past history of Manchester United being excellent and us being terrible. There's nothing to be proud of in going to Old Trafford and having one shot on target at the current time. Absolutely. ‘Going to Old Trafford’ their home form has been prett...
