Re: Christmas food or drink recommendations, or otherwise..

Mince pies are nasty.

So are brussel sprouts, but weirdly I have to have some with my turkey otherwise it wouldn't be a proper Xmas dinner.

Yeah I'm odd Image

Those delicious ones they used to serve at ***** Hart Lane were made by Parr Foods in Glasgow I believe, maybe contact them and see who they supply down south.
Good to see you back Nick. You still got the shop in Ongar Road?

Re: Diet and Fitness

183lbs this morning. Hard to think I was 252 at the end of March. took a separation to kick start the process and a lot of hard work since. At the time it was tough but 2019 has been one hell of a good year. Anything is possible if you concentrate your mind. Dont get swept into a thinking comfortabl...

Re: Buying A New Television - 2 -

Boss I bought a Philips 65" Ambilight 4k TV last Xmas (supplemented with an Xbox One X) and have been very impressed. It wont match the high end boxes for the immaculate picture quality but the ambilight adds something that the others dont have and personally thats better for me. Great deal on at Ar...

Re: Hillsborough

Whichever fans were there makes no difference, as everybody knows it was an accident, nobody set out to murder Liverpool fans, not the FA, the Police, Sheffield Wednesday, Sheffield Council, or indeed other Liverpool fans ... even when deemed a "criminal act" the event was still an accident, just a...

Re: Have you been petty lately?

Ah one of those when he said "you'll be waiting a while pal " my response would be "not as long as you will be waiting for those printer drivers" Or the alternative (I have done this) use SCCM remote, lock remote keyboard and mouse take control of the machine If they have SCCM then package up the d...

Re: Best Ruby Murray?

Great post FW.

I foun d that once I had perfected the curry I liked then I just made up a big batch of the masala spices in advance and kept them in an airtight jar. Saved measuring out tiny amounts each time and ensured a bit of consistency. Saved time whenever i made a curry as well

Re: Best Ruby Murray?

Papadums to start with lots of lime pickle. Garlic chilli chicken tikka, onion bhajies and a garlic naan. Share a rice. Lovely. Also I agree on the idea of making a base sauce if you like cooking at home. Ladle it into food bags pop them in the freezer, dig one out whenever you want to make a curry....

Re: VAR - yes or no ?

Football is also so much about building up pressure in a game. Searching for an equaliser or a winning goal. At this point, speed of play and energy ....and doing everything with ultra speed is absolutely vital. The crowd is motivated, the players are going at full tilt. Then, ......there is a 3 mi...

Re: VAR - yes or no ?

VAR will ever be 100% accurate, there are too many connotations in the game to make that even remotely possible.

So draw the benchmark at the on field officials. True, there will be a few more mistakes but at least the game can carry on breathing and the match day experience will survive.

I have decided in the last ten minutes that I like Rod Stewart, because he spent his spare time during his world tour building a giant model railway. Rock n roll!

Eric Cantona.

Disliked him in his early days but warmed to his eccentricity since leaving the game. Looking back he was a bloody good player.

I prefer Salt and Vinegar and definitely kettle chips. However, just to add a bit more confusion their cheese and onion are yellow.
