Re: Protests against the board being planned

Get GSB out, get the club well run, and whilst the ground will still be there, if the football was more enjoyable and we were not being mugged off, that would be a huge improvement over how things stand right now. Interesting points but for me even though GSB have to go ( they sold us a lie to line...

Re: Possible Takeover Bid ?

Sell The London Stadium and give The Crystal Palace national sports centre a massive facelift with the money? Problem solved. Do we get first refusal on the stadium ? What if someone completely seperate bought it ? Managed it right, leased it to us, made match day money on food etc, put on loads of...

For all the sins committed by GSB I don't think the idea they are actually embezzling money has ever been on anyone's radar.
I think your radar needs a service........Embezzling ' Misappropriation of funds placed in ones trust ' .

So if they did recall the loans it would save the club 4% interest on 40 million that goes in their pockets......i love the way they spin it to make it look like they are doing the club a favour.

Re: Protests against the board being planned

Sorry TOMOS but I don't think Right Wing Hammers For Aggro should be allowed anywhere near what has been a successful and peaceful demonstration. Maybe the worst scenario for the board / owners would be for all groups to unite against them. If anything they played us off against each other and brok...

Re: Protests against the board being planned

After "that" interview I'd not take anything Moose says as gospel. Sounds like standard board santioned disruption tactics, get an "independent" to suggest it'll be a low number. Try and divide and conquer, put off as many as possible, don't fall for it. I wonder if any radio talk show hosts are go...

Re: David Sullivan - Has he taken us as far as he can ?

OK, so playing Devils advocate (so please no replies accusing me of being a stooge of the board!), what happens if GSB suddenly decide to pull out with no buyer? Which is what 90% on this forum seem to want. Could/would the club be able to carry on? What would happen? How would they pull out with n...

Re: Mark Noble - West Ham Legend

At our level he's a great player who's getting past his prime so against a midfield that counters by moving the ball quick he's caught out. Against mid table or Spurs ,who he hates and digs deep , he's clearly good enough. So if he's not good enough its because we need to buy better players for the ...

but spending money on the first team ? - nah
A supporters group asking them to spend on the first team won't make them do so but it will question their intentions.

Much better than doing nothing.

Re: Protests against the board being planned

I don't feel that any supporters clubs anywhere have any right to ask the club to invest. it's not their remit. and who is to say how much should be the spend ? Why not ? Surely if clubs with a 12,000 capacity or 30,000 with the expense of their own stadium you have to question why they can spend m...

Re: Protests against the board being planned

it was NEVER going to be a state of the art stadium because the roof wouldn't cover the fans even if the seats were pitchside - which again was never going to happen due to the rake. 100% right mate, thats my point. They promised something they couldn't deliver. The only people who were going to en...

Gritting my teeth I have to say at the time the move was originally planned it was a platform to increased revenue.
The clubs or the owners ? We all went along with it because they promised the next level on the pitch and a state of the art stadium. Time has proved they lied.

they told people they were going to change everything for the better. Well, they haven't
So why be little people who want to let them know what they think about that ? It's our club for a life time whilst they are milking it short term.

Re: Protests against the board being planned

the problem with just staying away is that they already have our money Exactly right. They are sanitising our support and yet are more than happy because they a selling out for every game. At 2-0 down against Spurs and the stadiums dead, our support could have got us back in the game ten years ago....

Re: Who was responsible for signing Roberto?

Irrespective of whoever scouted him, opted for him, and made sure we signed him up, it really doesnt help the team when the crowd are laughing, jeering and sneering at our own goalkeeper... We are all frustrated by how bad he has been but can someone tell me how they think it helps the team ...

Re: Manuel Pellegrini West Ham United’s 17th manager

Each of our last four managers has appeared to put out teams who appear to show a complete lack of interest after a promising spell. Maybe they see a chance to push on, are not backed by the board and think theres no point in trying.

Re: David Sullivan - Has he taken us as far as he can ?

Problem is, he would say that circa £600m is a fair price and is the asking price for a Premier League club in a prime location with a fabulous world-class stadium with 60k fanbase. Wouldn't the price be the same as any mid table prem club minus the cost of their ground as an asset ? All we are wor...

Re: Olympic Stadium Discussion and Questions

A normal reinforced concrete structure should last much longer than that. To quote the Eurocode - Basis of Structural Design: The upper tier isn't concrete. It was put up with the option to sell it on after and just leave the lower tier as an athletics stadium. So if they were going to sell it on i...
