Re: The new kits thread
Add to that, the increasing size of sponsor logos, and you're basically being asked to fork out to be a walking billboard for a (9 times out of 10) betting company while wearing something Sports Direct would probably sell for £10-£20 if it didn't have a club crest on it. It should be full price wit...

Re: Olympic Stadium Discussion and Questions
I get your view as well, but we’re twelve years deep into their tenure now and they’ve shown exactly how much contempt they have for our ordinary support over and over, year upon year. I genuinely don’t think if you still choose to go and put money in their pockets you can be shocked or angry at th...

The laws of the game are open to interpretation. Thats why VAR officials and refs, with a soft spot left over from their youth for a big club, will never be fair over the course of a season.

building a new one would pale in significance compared to the amount of money that could be made through efficientally building a smaller ground and developing the immediate surrounds. i think this is PAI's plan and will be the plan of anyone who comes in. most of the investors probably have absolu...

So with the serious flooding on Hackney wick and at Pudding Mill station yesterday does anyone know if our pitch flooded ?
If not does that mean we could dig down and bring the stands closer to the pitch and put to bed the excuse for not doing so ?

What about the other shareholders seeing money leaking out of their assest in interest to someone who sits next to them on the board ?whuisa_bonds_H wrote: ↑Fri Feb 19, 2021 10:59 am How is it a conflict of interest - you'll have the shareholders complaining that they shouldn't be lending money to their own company!

yess but he was played central , and was a huge success , he got another england call up, where they promptly played him back on the wing and was dropped my point being, we needed Downing when we were short out wide and short in the middle. Right now we are crying out for a back up to the only forw...

How many wingers did we already have when we signed Downing ?steveyrockstar wrote: ↑Fri Jan 29, 2021 10:30 am Scott Parker?
Tbh, the Lingard signing reminds me of Downing - similar ages, England records and even similar type of player. Downing did very well for us, I thought.

Re: January 2021 Transfer Window
If he comes in - presumably it allows Fornals to cover Dec or Soucek in the middle. I honestly think Fornals would flourish in the centre - he is like a little terrier and has an eye for a deep pass. He also gets into positions to score. Why would we buy a player to play in a position we have at le...

Re: Takeover talk
This will just be about ensuring a majority for the Sullivan(s) on the board for some upcoming (possibly) controversial proposal. You can't just add directors to suit a future event, they would have to be accepted by the original board members. Otherwise the companies would be having boardroom batt...

But to say to say some people wont renew or even buy on speculation, rubbish. Course they will. They will as they will think they dont want to miss out. Im honestly really baffled how people manged to hold both points of view that A) GS dont care what any of us think, dont engage with us etc and B) That they are either going to stop taking money "because we are on to them" or that they are going to sell the club for less than they value i...

James Tarkowski plays in a back four Now, having played CB for many years myself, it certainly isn't that difficult to transition as a player from a back to a back five [certainly easier than the other way], but it wuld make more sense to target a player more familiar with that system if it is [unf...
