Re: The January Transfer Window 2020

My brother has a charlton season ticket and doesn’t think Cullen is necessarily good enough for the premier league. It's possible that he's right, of course, but the point might fairly be that, whereas Cullen may struggle to directly replace Noble, he is/was surely a better bet than Sanchez who mus...

Re: Leicester City v West Ham United: Match Thread

Hi all, I don’t know if it’s a good time or bad time to play us, we have gone right of the boil, Vardy is not firing(should of scored a hat trick yesterday), the high energy press that has served us well hasn’t been seen in weeks, I just think we’re knackered. Like a lot of clubs this time of year ...

Re: Reliving the moment

If you make it the 6th round of this year's FA Cup, I would happily have it at Tottenham's gaffe, tbh, even if I didn't have a chance of a ticket. There is nothing in the world better, in my personal lexicon of football results, than a derby victory away in the cup (see the 1-2 there 18/12/13)* That...

Re: Little things in life that make you smile

You freak out a cat, if you look at it all wide-eyed. That to them is anger. The opposite applies; if the cat goes what we call 'straight eye' that means it is in its proper comfort zone. As I understand it, cats are happiest if they've got their eyes closed and they 'knead the dough' with their paw...

Both clubs sadly left behind their cherished homes, to move to the next level and win things.

Am I doing this right?

Re: Little things in life that make you smile

Our two have a habit of meowing and scratching at the door/window wanting to come in because they need a **** and don't want to get a cold arse. Lost count of the amount of times they come in from the cold and as soon as their in go straight to their littler tray... I'm going to sound like a proper...

Re: David Moyes - 18th Permanent Manager of WHUFC

To me, we have one point less than Jane would have bargained for, before the sequence of league matches started - i.e. he probably expected a display with a modicum of commitment to warrant a point at Bramall Lane. The test is ahead, in the next 8 games. Only Brighton and Southampton could be even p...

Dream on Crouchend!

The team/squad deficiencies were already blindingly obvious. Sullivan has risked survival, again, on what he already has.

We might get a loan or two in. Signings, in January? I doubt it.

Re: A vote of confidence [POLL]

Dave that sums it up for me perfectly for me, bang on usual mate  I can readily understand you, even if I differ ever so slightly. I still feel pride when watching the better moments of team play, even to this date. I do however agree with the sentiment that in part I am only sticking with it...

Re: Things you've always wanted to know......

Crack it in a cup first, investigate thoroughly, then pour carefully in the pan. Good idea. But it doesn't really answer how I can never do it, whereas the missus never seems to get any shell in it, when she just cracks them with a single tap and drops the egg into the pan without even thinking about...

Re: A vote of confidence [POLL]

So, Dave, in the spirit of discussion, what is it that makes you continue to post about the team on here? I am NOT criticising this, I hope you appreciate, because it may be that I am simply using a word (pride/proud) that people interpret in different ways, but there must be some kind of feeling th...
