Re: ✍️ Welcome Lucas Paquetá - Our Brazilian Magnifico
Silva was literally one the best players who has ever played in the PL.
Paqueta is a rung or two lower than him on the ladder, at best.

Re: Bayer Leverkusen v West Ham Utd Europa QF 1st leg match thread
Even by his standards that would be a weak excuse, £40m plus profits from the last 2 windows, and very likely £85m cash coming in from Citeh for Paqueta so there should already be a big budget, and anyway we still have to pay at the start of June, window doesn’t open until 14th. You’d like to think...

Yes, sure, but only a start. That doesn't actually do anything in the 'holding to account' stakes, it appears.Albie Beck wrote: ↑Sat Apr 13, 2024 4:29 pm People should aim their anger and criticism at the correct target - that would be a start.

Hardly an option, not having people 'scream' online, is it?Bubbles Fortuna wrote: ↑Sat Apr 13, 2024 4:30 pm Not every online fan account screaming at the manager for selling our players would be a start.
He's using Moyes as his scapegoat and it's working.

Re: Bayer Leverkusen v West Ham Utd Europa QF 1st leg match thread
Not renewing hurts us as much as him, but no reason to pay before you have to. That is the crux of the matter, though, with respect. I am not in the business of telling people what to do with their money, in all honesty, but, if the tactic is to 'not pay before you have to', doesn't he still get th...

5 track ep I heard being played in Phonica in the West End today.
Nice bit of techno, but relaxed pace.

If nobody renewed their ST's or paid for other tickets, he would be.
Any other method?

They have in fairness, already won 18 games. Set fair to win >50% of their league matches, which is creditable, given that they lost their talismanic goalscorer.
For balance, they've only had to play 41 games in total.

Race Across the World Bit of a guilty pleasure. In this new series the teams have get from Japan to Indonesia (Lombok). It's good harmless fun and some great scenery. Watched this on catch up yesterday, too. I reckon the older couple will crash out first. Was amazed by the difference in sizes betwe...

Ok, so some guidance, please, from the rules'n'regs boffins amongst us. Firstly, what is the situation with the 5th placed team in the Prem / CL qualification? Is this already decided, or contingent on the further progress of City/Arsenal/Liverpool/West Ham/Villa vs Bayern (obvs Arsenal's opponents)...

The road system in London before the introduction of 1. Speedbumps 2. LTNs 3. Unused cycle lanes, 4. All the other bollards/Street furniture cluttering them up. Used to love driving around 20 or so years ago, getting to know all the back routes and connections. Driving in the present day is just a c...

Re: Sociopolitical spectrum of football
Using my criteria I guess it depends whether they have to go out to work to support themselves as opposed to having independent means. I think I'm going have to nod in agreement, generally, with your other question, to the effect that there is no adequate definition, at least not in the modern era....
