Re: January 2022 Transfer Window

Just watched highlights of the Luton vs Bournemouth game. I won’t judge a player purely on just 1 game. But Christ, if Lloyd Kelly defends that badly every week I wouldn’t touch him with a bargepole! And that was against a bang average Championship side. Same here. When watching the Quest EFL highl...

Re: January 2022 Transfer Window

:horror: Watched the Luton v Bournemouth game today. Kelly looked very good on the ball, but awful defensively (worse than Diop). Might have caught him on a bad day? Thought exactly the same. When watching the EFL highlights each week he often stands out for his composure and distribution qualities....

Re: ⚽ West Ham Utd v Norwich City: rescheduled match thread

Special mention to the absolute bellend in the BML who spent the entire game screaming like a saddo at Kral that he was a useless **** (after asking his mate what the goalkeeper was called of course). Seemed to be a few of those types tonight, non-regulars that had got a ticket for this one and wer...

Re: ⚽ West Ham Utd v Leeds Utd: match thread

I think I worked out why our goal wasn't offside. It wasn't because it came off a Leeds player or because Bowen was deemed not to be interfering. It's because although Bowen was offside during the initial touch from Vlasic, Vlasic then stretches out and gets a 2nd touch on the ball, knocking it int...

Re: ⚽ West Ham Utd v Leeds Utd: match thread

Working in Leeds yesterday all the sheep were moaning about the first goal as expected.
The range of arguments mostly centred on Bowen being offside but one or two showed themselves up by stating that Bowen fouled their keeper😀

Yes it's the London thing, most northern clubs seem to think that refs are sway unduly by a club's location and that little ol' West Ham benefit from this.
Mike Riley, one of the worstbtefs ever ( now in charge of the officials) was from, Leeds.

Re: ✍ Nikola Vlasic

The self inflicted 'disguised dive' brought back memories of seeing his compatriot Slaven Bilic doing it for us often. He had perfected a little trick where when under pressures he's d let the opponent get get behind him and clip his own feet and dive. Judging by the Vlasic dive it must be part of t...

Re: January 2022 Transfer Window

Sorry, not just Manny. Didn’t we also have a chief executive who basically had to resign after that whole affair - can’t remember if it was Paul Aldridge or Graham Mackerell who had to carry the can for not checking the admin? Honestly think we would’ve won the League Cup that season, still annoys ...

Re: ⚽ West Ham Utd v Leeds Utd: match thread

 No, Osman was saying it was because Bowen didn't interfere with play as he moved across. I've finally worked out how to post an image :phew: on my post which demonstrates what I mean. Bowen is level with the ball as Vlasic makes his final touch. Gotcha, I think 😀 . Second phase has to come.in...

Now that I'm finally logged in, can I be the first to say that Zagadou is the player we need to push pineapple and grind coffee.

EDIT: when I say 'first', I obviously mean fifth or sixth.
Now that I have finally logged in can I express my concerns over the arrival of Roger Johnson.

Re: ⚽ West Ham Utd v Leeds Utd: match thread

Leeds have a player called Cresswell too, Charlie Cresswell who plays in defence. Impressed with Cresswell when played, strong centre half. Did well most of the game v Antonio. Whilst their injury issues are easing they still have quite a few out. Probably their best youngster Joe Geldhardt has pul...

Probably mentioned earlier in this thread. Not sure if the re- jigged ends were done so with a view to altering easily to rail standing. Either that or had seen mention of the top tier in at least the ' home'end being ready for safe standing m or at least a section.

Re: ⚽ West Ham Utd v Leeds Utd: match thread

Moyes wants some silverware as much as us and I am sure we won’t see wholesale changes for this. A sensible mix of experience, squad players and youth should suffice based on the expectation that Leeds will be making significantly more changes. If we are up for this and give it a proper go we shoul...

Re: ⚽ West Ham Utd v Leeds Utd: match thread

Wouldn't normally have any concerns over Nobes coming in for a game like this. Did a good job at Watford for instance. However Leeds's high energy game may seem him struggle in the middle and fear the game could past him by. To offset that Bielsa has tended to field weakened teams in such Cup games,...
