Re: Manuel Pellegrini West Ham United’s 17th manager

I think overall you have to say he has done more than a decent job, playing much more attractive football, a talented squad all be it lacks hugely in one position (centre midfield - box to box type). One thing I'm not sure about is if he is a disciplinarian or not? I think our team lacks attitude/bo...

Re: Rugby Union World Cup.

Well that was a pretty awe inspiring performance :scarfer:

Kiwi's next, what a game that should be!!

Shame on Japan, S Africa just bludgeoned them into submission. Not the best to watch, but vvvv effective.

Re: ⚽ Everton v West Ham United: Match Thread

Well, that & we were pretty dire all game, excluding Man C that was probably our poorest performance in the PL this season. Outfought, tactically got done, we looked poor pretty much in all areas.

Never an easy place to go, but think we left our bollax behind and made it very easy for them.

Re: Bulgaria vs England

Nobody biting on my Tony Henry comment ? Is it a little to close to home ? Do people feel it was thoroughly investigated, and everyone involved identified ? I will have a little bite as not too close to home for me, was it investigated properly, everyone identified, probably not 100%. Do I think We...

Re: Bulgaria vs England

What happens when away or home fans get in the other end and start chanting racist abuse? I thought it was handled well yesterday, and about time as well. Great start point, now just need to keep it going. We played really well against a bang average side, could & probably should have been double fi...

Re: The Mental Health Thread - (Help Contacts in First Post).

Mental health complicated - not sure even Stephen Hawking would have been able to explain it. Is there an epidemic now? Or has it always been there and people are just more open/understanding now as a huge amount of stigma has been removed? There's a question I cannot answer. I have been involved in...

Re: Dubbin (non WHU)

Think I just missed Dubbin due to my age, remember my old man talking about it. I did though treat my cricket bat with linseed oil was it? until I got a white Grey Nicholls bat, loved it, couldn't use it and my average fell dramatically but I looked the part. Horses linament was it? Use to rub that ...

Kipchoge runs a sub 2 hour marathon today - wow!!
I read some people saying the road was ideal, conditions, pace makers in a V, drinks, shoes, laser on road etc etc. everything was set up for him to do it. I get that, but still, **** me, to run that pace in a marathon is almost inconceivable!

'X Factor Celebrity'.. Hasn't that c*nt made enough money out of old rope.. Obviously not.. Squeeze it a little bit more, Simon, you might get some pips. My missus lost touch with a friend, they have reconnected & we got invited round Saturday night for some drinks, said I would drive as her friend...

Re: Rugby Union World Cup.

First time I have watched Japan, I thought they were just riding on a wave of a host WC, got lucky beating Ireland etc. They are a cracking side! Their handling at pace, off loads, is a joy to watch, plus some real pace in the side. Going to be a cracking match against SA. I did not realise our side...

The tube & its irritations, could have a thread just for that. Could say the same for roads.

Both are magnificent engineering and well laid out, it's just the amount of people & cars that **** them up.

My old man's care home is in Hatfield Peveral, from what I have seen driving through it looks a really nice place. Stopped in a pub a couple of times for lunch, locals we met seem like good peeps. Essex though innit, we sort of get each other. If you come Dedham way you can pop in for a cuppa guv, t...

Re: I just wanted to say goodbye

One of my all time favourites is Ginge. He 'got us' totally and was a warrior on the pitch. I would love to see him back in some capacity. He is up there for me as one of my all time cult heroes, just loved the bloke on and off the pitch, just seems like a guy you would want to go for a beer with.
