Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!
The elephant in the room is Soucek again and in fairness it nearly worked but if he doesn't pop up with a goal is is often pretty useless at keeping the ball and passing. Both JWP or in particular Phillips could have got some more minutes being fresher. Keeping the same shape and giving Mubama a run...

Yes VAR has saved this thread from exploding todayBonzosBoots wrote: ↑Sun Mar 17, 2024 4:14 pm This. The substitutions were terrible and almost unforgivable.
Difference today was the managers intent through subs
The only time he don't use Ings is after he actually scored

VAR or Moyes subs... Not sure what's more frustrating

Terrible use of subs as often the case and didn't want to win enough
As for the VAR that is criminal

Surely the next 10 mins decides it, losing after that Arsenal game to Forest is embarrassing.

Re: Nottingham Forest v West Ham United : match thread
I'm surprised at how many people are omitting Soucek from their products starting XIs. That's as they are picking out best available team not the team they think Moyes will pick. Our best midfield three available are Alvarez, Phillips and Ward-Prowse The left wing is the ? Whilst Paqueta is still o...

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!
Merson just said “That’s not a David Moyes Team” Whose team is it then? Soucek and Johnson at left wing say Hi  That's not in reflection of either today but persisting with a CM that can't pass or keep possession along with playing right backs or CMs at left wing with a left winger on the ben...

Re: Manchester Utd vs West Ham Utd: match thread
Not sure about all the anger towards Soucek. It's his sort of game and he won't be as far forward (hopefully). Him in the team wasn't the biggest problem the other night. 2 of them were starting all 4 of them and what we had out wide. That's been changed. Yes it was the problem as it meant playing ...

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!
Taking Emerson out of the role he's best at and has been crucial for us this season would make little sense. Emerson at LW and Johnson at LB for the next match is not as weak or bad than sticking Ward-Prowse or Phillips on the wing to accommodate Soucek. Simple as that, if Alvarez, Phillips and War...

Re: January transfer window
C&H saying their source says the problem was down to a problem with FA computers and we couldn't do anything about it until after the match. In other words saying it wasn't our fault. That makes it worse, before I thought we did it to benefit the team as we didn't sign anyone... I'd rather an u...

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!
One step forward and 3 steps back for Moyes again due to poor team selection, it's his Achilles heel Should have had a midfield of Alvarez, Phillips and Ward-Prowse Cornet on the left Bowen and Kudus swapping on the wings with Mubama upfront Emerson on the left with Cresswell at LB All better option...

Re: January transfer window
As much as I feel for Pablo and Said, keeping them is the right move for the club. We were all moaning how weak this would make our squad. Tough decisions have to be made and I believe this is the best one for the club. We are again stronger after this window then we were before it. All said and do...

Re: West Ham Utd v Bournemouth - Match Thread
After Phillips signing some Moyes fans got very defensive when people joked (or actually believed) he’d never drop Soucek. I didn’t buy into it but there we are, shunting JWP to the left hand side and crowbarring Soucek into the line up as a false 9? 10? CF? Whilst a striker and left winger sit on ...

Poor performance and a poor team selection.
Our tactics of moving CMs to the left wing is just as scattergun as our transfer business
I'm sure Ings lost the ball with every touch

Play Cornet on the left with Alvarez, Phillips and Ward-Prowse in the middle Play Emerson on the left with Alvarez, Phillips and Ward-Prowse in the middle (Cresswell at LB) Play Kudus on the Left with Alvarez, Phillips and Alvarez in the middle. Bowen on the right and Mubama as ST All st...

Re: January transfer window
Squad wise? Yes. Tonight we're starting with four central midfielders, two wingers and no striker. This just shows how bad we are run and managed... Cornet could play on the left but instead would rather stick players out of position to fit others in. Soucek or Ward-Prowse probably playing left win...
