Re: Cresswell or Masuaku?

Always preferred Cresswell, albeit his form deserved him to be dropped. The break has hopefully refocused him.

Re: Sullivan BS Loans and Free Signings January 2017 thread

Antonio is a striker. On the odd occasion he has played there he has been good. Quite why a bloke who is set to break the PL all-time record for scoring headed goals is being singled out, alongside a guy up for the Ballon D'Or is one of the great mysteries. You build around them, not discard them. ...

Re: Tottenham Hotspur vs West Ham United: match thread

Who does Bilic persist in playing second rate foreigners who have no interest in West Ham beyond picking up large pay cheques, rather than young British players with desire? Oxford & Fletcher should be getting games ahead of Tore, Nordvik & Zaza. Is a perfectly reasonable question shared by many. W...

Re: Tottenham Hotspur vs West Ham United: match thread

Digging out Randolph is a cheap shot tbh, had to go for the ball across his box and could have gone anywhere. Going to ground as Nordveit did with minutes left is something you'd expect to see on the local park Sunday morning, not from a pro. Exactly what this bloke is supposed to offer us is beyond...

Him, Tore, Zaza, Nordveit, I fail to see anything that they add to the squad really
Yep, and keeps out the likes of Oxford and some of the other young talent who will no doubt clear off de lack of opportunity. Ridiculous.

I didn't know that. Was he personally showing the coins openly to the Papps at the front? That would be the last thing on my mind whilst fending for my life if my kid was pelted with missiles. I'd have moved right away or seeked assistance from police stewards to get his kids to immediate safety. H...

5 Live doing an hour on it now. Oh for the love of god no...listening to that's got to be worse than being waterboarded... If I read or hear one more 'it was like a throwback to the 70's (or 80's)' swear my laptop and/or radio are going to get launched...many of those on BBC and talkSPORT banging out there usual predictable reactions yet you secretly sense these are people who have a weird fascination deep down for watc...

Re: West Ham Utd vs Chelsea: match thread

Sadly, the media wanted crowd trouble. Far more interesting than a magnificent game of football. Hence we have stories about it for weeks in advance, putting some off coming, then reports on what amounts to pushing and shoving. In a nutshell CD. Sadly, we, and the new stadium in particular, make go...

Seeing his name on the line up last night was comforting like a mug of Horlicks on a chill winters eve. One of 'those' players who having in the side instills confidence and optimism and seems to make the team tick. One dodgy game vs Bournemouth last year, otherwise solid and dependable for nearly t...

Rather give two up and coming lads from the academy a chance above these two. Both offer extremely little and no doubt (Zaza especially) costing us a fortune.

Re: Taxi for Karren ? Is one due ?

Ms. Brady won't be going anywhere until her ethnic cleansing (I believe the modern phrase is gentrification) of West Ham United FC is complete. Wouldn't be at all surprised if part of her mindset hopes that it does 'go off' inside the ground against Chelsea as justification to further her cause of b...

Lost our identity? Having watched that shambles, I should love to know what is going through Gold and Sullivan's minds this evening How much money they have and the level of inheritance they will be leaving for their families. I doubt their convenient misty eyed memories of being true, lifelong West Ham fans which ge...

Re: West Ham Utd v Accrington Stanley: match thread

I don't understand what Nordtveit is doing at centre half against a League Two side when Reece Oxford is on the bench. I'm all for not rushing young players in too fast but if a midfielder that has struggled a bit is keeping out one of the country's most promising defenders something is up. Spot on...
