Does anyone know if Puff is watching? Reckon he will be surprised by the scoreline. Crikey I am confused but this is great :)

Re: ⚽ Watford v West Ham Utd: match thread

:phew: Not sure what Antonio needs to do to get a start. He’s a perfect player to be against Watford too imo. Oh well line up looks better than last week! He has been great in patches but does quite often follow up a good passage of play with a wayward shot, pass or cross. If he kept the ball better...

Re: ⚽ Watford v West Ham Utd: match thread

I know it’s only 3 games in, but I’m not getting how we can pay £24m for a player (Fornals) who showed a lot during the summer, but isn’t an automatic starter :? Yarmolenko cost similar and has replaced him, mad to think we have started to have those kind of subs. Fornals needs to get used to the p...

Re: ⚽ Watford v West Ham Utd: match thread

Yarmolenko was one of the players who performed well when we recovered from the bad start last year-I was gutted when he was injured. Hopefully he can have a decent game.

Re: The summer transfer window 2019 thread

Just been checking and apparently clubs can still sign free agents[/quote]

That was my understanding, sure I read they didn't need to rush Carroll because of this. Think it's fine if there is a spare space in the squad?

Re: The summer transfer window 2019 thread

Do love a window where we do not need to dig out the released players list the next day, that helps to show progress and gives a little context :)

Re: The summer transfer window 2019 thread

All depends on their consistency. I still struggle to understand how Anderson seems be either a 9/10 or a 4/10. Some games everything he does looks classy, whilst other games he constantly gives the ball away even when playing a relatively simple pass. Zaha is similar imo, some games he can dominate...

Re: The summer transfer window 2019 thread

Feeling a little happier with Cardoso in and now Ajeti looking likely, another midfielder would be great but not sure who would leave the squad to accommodate them? Think if this was it I would be fairly content, we have cleared out some dead wood and replaced with young players. The main caveat is ...

Re: The summer transfer window 2019 thread

Wolves may find it difficult next year balancing the Europa league, one of their strengths last year was having a settled side. Leicester are now losing their best centre back, will be interesting to see who they get in. Tielemens is a great signing and only played for them from January last year. G...

Re: The summer transfer window 2019 thread

One factor that has to be considered is that a lot of last years signings are now settled in and have showed their worth in the league (aside from Yarmalenko due to injury). A lot of our start last season was due to fitting in a number of signings and adapting to a new manager. The two new signings ...

Re: The summer transfer window 2019 thread

Assume that lots of the installments for last years spending are due which is the reason for our lack of funds now. Arsenal are likely to have similar issues in the future when paying for Pepe (who from the sounds of it they have overpaid on). Can only invest more if they inject more cash (hmm) or o...

Think that is the player that Ex made up a rumour about last Summer to see if newspapers would report it.

Re: The summer transfer window 2019 thread

Hope we don't sign Medel, 5 minutes into his debut he will make a mistake and that will be proof that he is the worst signing made in the history of football.

How reliable are your plums normally? Did they predict Haller or Gomez?
