Re: West Ham United v Manchester City: Match Thread

Don't wish to worry any of you but a 5.30 KO can only mean a huge amount of beer in the Black Lion , some sea food to nosh on during the endurance march to the ground , followed by a dramatic , heart warming , magnificent , historic even, win against Man City . Can nobody else feel the win coming ?...

the point being that assuming they pull out they will be laying up for the next 2 weeks and have a bit of time to recover before our next match

Re: Swansea City v West Ham Utd: Match Thread

I wouldnt hit the panic alarm after today. Two individual errors ****ed us up, would be a totally different game otherwise. In terms of open play we have not been creative, but i put that down to the shape where we lined up to be solid and was undone by mistakes. I think once Maiga settles in as we...

No surprise for me that the 2 mistakes have come from new signings - sam drilled it out of rest of the side last season.

Re: Summer 2012 Transfer and Rumours Thread

Personally I rate Carlton as one of the best hold-up forwards in the league. If we lost him we'd have to shell out at least 10 million on a like-for-like replacement. Of course it seems like we wouldn't be going for that type of player but for Dempsey, in which casethe manager obviously has other id...

Re: Summer 2012 Transfer and Rumours Thread

I know it's been said before but why do they bother with these pre-announcements? It's just inviting someone to come in with a last minute bid!

Re: Summer 2012 Transfer and Rumours Thread

But Greeno going to QPR leaves me puzzled and let down - it can surely ONLY be about the money (unless he feels that QPR have the stuff of a top 8-10 team about them?). It was Nolan's contract that did it imo - the owners weren't willing to give Rob a salary that was even comparable to it. Wasn't t...

Re: Summer 2012 Transfer and Rumours Thread

Wouldn't it be more like a 17/30 chance of someone signing him? Throw in the 5/10 chance of him staying and I guess you have a 2/40 (or 1/20) chance of him coming to West Ham. All guess work though so ignore everything I have written. please try harder if there's a 5/10 chance of him staying ...
