Re: The summer transfer window 2019 thread

Potentially our most entertaining side for a good few years. We have some real quality going forward. Sure we look light at the back but we will be involved in a lot of entertaining games and on our day our front 4 can give anyone troubles. Haller, Chicharito, Anderson, Yarmolenko, Fornals, Lanzini ...

Re: Marko Arnautovic

As someone who lives and works in China I can confirm that he will be getting appropriately punished by moving to this 3rd monstrosity of a country...and running around in the 40 degree 90% humidity smog in Shanghai is a bonus.

Re: The summer transfer window 2019 thread

Spurs consistently in the Champions League - as much as that pains me - Chelsea consistently winning titles and cups, Zaha is only now redeeming himself at Palace after failing miserably at ManUre and will be off soon. We are not challenging for titles or champions league or even close to that curre...

Re: The summer transfer window 2019 thread

60million - rip their hands off personally if the majority goes into the squad. Diop is decent, physically strong and athletic but lets not forget we had one of the poorest defensive records in the Premiership despite having a keeper that made the most saves. Clearly Diop not solely responsible for ...

Modern day football really is so short term and expectations are generally unrealistic.. You are either the next great thing or useless it would seem. Personally I think Pellegrini is very good manager for a club such as ours and his performance so far has been more positives than negatives. 1. Impr...

Re: Marko Arnautovic Signs

Yes plenty of players turn down tripling their salary to play in China. There a plenty of players in China that also left Champions Leagues clubs to grab the cash, Oscar, Lavezzi, Carrasco and Paulinho and some that are there now. As long as he puts a shift in whilst he is in a West Ham shirt that's...

Re: Manuel Pellegrini West Ham United’s 17th manager

Wow - lot of over reaction in my opinion. Far too early to start panicking and question a proven high quality experienced manager and a winner. Just like Emery at Arsenal there is going to time and patience required when trying to totally change the style of play/ Yes shambolic defending at times. T...

Re: Summer Transfer Window 2018- 64 days remaining

Big Arnie fan - was one of the few bright spots after Slav got binned. That being said selling him to Manure for 60m and replacing him with Anderson, Pastore and Toure (still quality and can plug that DM role) effectively for 60m improves the team. The problem is...will that happen or will we well A...

Re: West Ham Utd v Watford: match thread

Also not a Moyes lover but I think comparing him to Allardyce or Pulis is a step too far. Similar mould but at least at times he does try to get the team playing and starting with Chicharito, Arnautovic and Joao Mario would suggest the lumping it was never on. First half we dominated and played some...

Re: Stoke City v West Ham Utd: match thread

Very good performance. Should have been more to be fair. Arnautovic was excellent as was Lanzini and Messiuaka. Noble was great again before replaced by the very solid Rice. 3 centre backs looked good again and although Stoke huffed and puffed they really created almost nothing. Big game against the...

Re: Andy Carroll

Unfortunately as much as I want to believe that it will all come good for AC I think the guy is spent, Through all his knocks and come backs he would come back rusty but would still be a dominant force in the air. So far this year this hasn't been the case. I think the guy has lost that spring hence...

Expecting us to grind out a 1 nil win, just like last year when Bilic was on the verge of getting the elbow.

Hart

Zab Reid Oggy Cress

Noble Obiang

Antonio Ayew Arnie

Chich

Ayew and Obiang need to turn up this week - if not hook them with Rice and Sakho. Based on only Antonio returning.

Re: Manchester United vs West Ham United match thread

well said CNR. The only addition I would add is Rice looked decent when he came on considering his age, the occasion and the opposition. Very assured and confident performance, constantly making himself available to receive the ball and distributing it sensible and with purpose. Looks like a player ...

Re: Mark Noble - West Ham Legend

Noble was our best midfielder and the only one who looked up for the fight. Got stuck in and made some very timely blocks around the box, put his foot on the ball when possible. First time I've seen Rice and was impressed. Very assured for an 18 year old playing his first league game at Old Trafford...

Is Lanzini a defensive midfielder then? He tops the charts in touches and passes.

Re: Summer Transfer Window 2017

Wow - Noble wouldn't get into 18 of the 20 Premier League clubs...really....yet even with changes in Managers over the last few years he remained a nailed on starter. He is a very good central midfielder and many pro's who have played with him have mentioned it. Regarding the "holding midfielde...

Re: Summer Transfer Window 2017

So you get a 2nd choice striker in and then have Sakho and Carroll mopping around unsettling the other players. My point still stands you need to get rid of one of those two to bring someone in. Arsenal now with Giroud, Lacazette, Welbeck, Sanchez and Perez are the only premiership club that I can t...
