Re: Summer 2023/24 Transfer Thread

I certainly expected us to replace Scamacca, but if this means we're going to see more of Mubama I'm all for it.

If it means we see more of Ings it's going to be very frustrating.

I was half hoping Earthy, Kodua (sp) and maybe one of the defenders to get the back up positions if injuries occur..

Re: Manuel Pellegrini West Ham United’s 17th manager

It's so good to have a manager that is brutal in his team selection. I know injuries/fitness play a big part too but previous managers would have persevered with starting Perez and/or Carroll. And he hasn't. They've both been poor in last three games and he's acted accordingly, benching them. I pers...

Re: January transfer window

Afternoon. I know there's a bunch of knowledgable folk on here that watch other leagues and I'd much appreciate some opinions on Dendocker and Mario.i.e. anyone who's seen Dendoncker and/or Mario play regularly for the past couple of years - what kind of players are they? - think they'd improve us? ...

Re: Summer Transfer Window 2017

Not convinced he would want to come to us (didn't he choose Leverkusen last time over us despite us offering more money?) Anyway, Hernandez would be my first choice over all those other strikers. Proven record in England, Germany and Spain. Reminds me of Defoe. If the Daves got this and Ihenancho ov...

Re: Summer Transfer Window 2017 Targets

We should do all we can to sign Sigurdsson and Batshuayi + one more striker Iheanacho would be a superb signing as second striker but doubt they're gonna spend £80m on three players All three have premiership experience All three have at least 3/4 seasons in them All three have sell on value We NEED...

Re: West Ham United V Crystal Palace: Match thread

WHAT AN AFTERNOON! Atmosphere was best I've experienced it, even in first half it was better than normal- 'Super Slav' and 'Hand Ball' chants- people surrounding us were really getting into it. Felt like everyone was making an effort to get behind the team after this week. Anyone else feel this? (I'...

Re: The 2016 summer transfer thread

Loans for Bony & Zaza plus permanent signing of Janmaat would be very good business imo, certainly when you consider we genuinely don't have much money Be very happy with the above. Janmaat was certainly a standout for me at Newcastle- the last 2 seasons actually. Looked good bringing the ball ...

Re: Chelsea vs West Ham Utd: match thread

Adrian, Byram, Mak, Reid, Ginger Pele and Carroll all looked OK (and Antonio when he had the ball) Noble did not play well - giving away stupid free kicks and holding onto the ball far too long. Valencia hand balled it THREE times, got constantly tackled and gave the ball away. Tore and Nordveit? Lo...

Re: FC Astra Giurgiu v West Ham United: Match Thread

Henry and Maiga - the former needs to go on loan, the latter needs to go. Lee and Knoyle - both need loan spells, but suspect neither are cut out for top flight football. Randolph - hmmm. Adrian, stay fit! Poyet, Page, Cullen, Lanzini - the future looks good. As for the manager, well, I would have ...

Re: FC Astra Giurgiu v West Ham United: Match Thread

I'm over Bilic naming a weakened team now. My optimism plays out like this: - the team are gonna be as fit as they can be after a solid amount of pre season - Astra are no longer an unknown quantity - Nolan is due a goal and this is likely to be his final foray for the club. Him and Bilic are gonna ...

Re: Ideal ins and out's in the summer? (Realistic(ish) only)

I honestly don't see Kebab ever coming to us, it's more likely that Lanzini is a cheapo backup with Payet taking Downings place. In which case I think we would be naive to get rid of Downing. I think improving the squad means keeping your better players, not replacing them. When Carroll came back f...

Re: Ideal ins and out's in the summer? (Realistic(ish) only)

As much as I think Downing went missing intermittently since the new year, I think we'd be foolish to get rid.

Proven premiership player that was brilliant before Christmas when played in the correct position.

I'd say keep regardless of his preferences until Cabaye is signed
