Re: End of anti goal line technology argument?
I believe in "accepting the referee's decision" but I think there is a threshold to which it is acceptable. And not to needlessly knock Fifa but they don't seem to often be a competent governing body and I think that goes deep into their relationship with England. The IOC, International Ol...

Re: Ref's and linesmen
Ozz Hammer, I agree with the sentiments and now that this day is over. There is always a lot to criticise the referees on but overall, people can take human error, the ABSURD, no... there is a threshold.. I was watching the Mexico/Argentina game at the gym running a few on the treadmill but when tha...

Re: Mexico v Argentina
Congratulations to the Referees for handing the game to Argentina and Yes they did. I can excuse one game and say, well, Germany were better but England battled back from a 2 goal deficit to tie it, but now we are talking about 2, TWO frigging games, Mexico was playing a better game but now we say a...

It's funny and in a way, it is true. Is it any less ludicrous than the SUN E-A-S-Y link?? http://www.soccer-training-info.com/images/easy.jpg" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; check the image out, I don't know why, It seems this site doesn't run pictures too much. It's all fun...

Re: England 1 USA 1 (Group C)
I see someone smiled about the Algerian Goalkeeper and he should not have buckled that's obvious, but what happened immediately before that?? This substitute Ghezzal comes in in the 58th minute, gets carded in the 59th minute, 73th minute gets his 2nd yellow card and is out and did you see that, Ghe...

Re: How disappointed are you? (:
Aside from obvious personal interests (ie: disappointing first games from the country you support, etc), & the media excitement of this being the first tournament in Africa (& it being a world cup in general!), this has been the WORST start to a world cup I can ever remember, games wise. Th...

Re: Rob Green's howler
Spot on, Green didn't have the ball fully covered, it was to his right so there was always going to be that risk of it kicking up or spinning off his hands etc etc whatever ball was being used, schoolboy error nothing to do with the ball. I'm being redundant here, but I should have added in not onl...

Re: Rob Green's howler
"At the last second, it moved a little bit," Dempsey said. "These balls move so much, you just hit them on goal, you have a chance. It's one of those goals you always say, `Why can't I get one like that?" Was interested to note that the Argentine goalkeeper was punching everythi...

Re: Rob Green's howler
Had nothing to do with the ball. Took his eye of the ball (imvho) and it hit the heel of his hand and bounced in. Always look the ball into your hands they told us. Goal keepers by virtue of the position that they play, less acceptable to have their mistakes be forgiven. Heskey makes similar mistak...

Re: West Ham v Bolton Match Thread
It's a man's game, you have to take the good and the bad like a man. I was first skeptical of Zola but he won me over last year and I won't backtrack except there must exist some locker room distractions. Bolton were a tight act today, surprisingly, they had all their ducks in a row.

That's interesting about the trash talking between Klitschko and David Haye. Should be a good bout and sets it up. I've this one story but it's been back and forth I believe. ---------------- David Haye talking trash about Klitschko Heavyweight contender David Haye (22-1, 21 KOs), who will take on W...

Re: T*ttenham V West Ham United Match Thread
Only been back a little while after every train in my direction was practically f***ed up :x It was a good effort from the players, considering we have no strikers, no defensive midfielders and our creative players were out. I would have been confident if Kovac and Parker featured but seeing the te...
