Re: Beer/Lager Thread

For lovers of Czech pilsners - try the Sainsburys own brand. 500ml bottle for £1.25 a pop - better than Budvar, Staropramen or any of the other major versions I've tried. Really, really good. Yeah, I like that beer. I think Staropramen actually make it for them, don't they? Might be getting mixed u...

We used to get the same stuff until not that long ago - real shame. My Dad bought some bottles back last year and we did a comparison. We were admittedly pretty drunk, but the German bottles were a lot nicer. So crips.

Re: Beer/Lager Thread

Well, from what I've seen, they're intent on turning their pubs into gastro pubs and any pub that had amassed any character, their business plan is to rip the heart out of it and put an emphasis on dining and food. Isn't that also kind of the plan with Fullers? I reckon they'll do a better job than...

Re: Beer/Lager Thread

No need to drink crap beer anymore. Every supermarket now has a pretty decent selection - Tesco and Waitrose in particular have got a great range in these days. If we're talking lager though, my go to's are usually... M&S - Paulaner Munchner Hells Waitrose - Lost and Grounded Keller Pils Sainsburys ...

Usually err on the side of optimism when we make signings of this ilk, but I can honestly say I had zero hope of this working out.

Yep, enough of the whataboutery and semantics. Everyone knows the guy was way out of line. Ban the f**king idiot. No place for it and makes us all look like knuckle-draggers.

Interested to see that the pub called Glory seems to have replaced The Russian Bar which was a tremendous late late night Dalston destination when i was hanging about in those parts about 12 years ago! Oh mate, haven't thought about that place in years! One of the few places to get a late drink rou...

Anyone really that bothered? - good player and all that. - but honestly, the guys had a good 12 months. To be honest - I am. I still think West Ham is a good fit for him. Bit of a plonker but players like Noble keep him in check. Clearly thrives on being a big fish, but going to China... Just feels...

Ah man, this is awful. My friends Dad crashed a light aircraft in the Channel a few years back after the engine failed and was fine, so every reason to stay positive.

Well **** me old boots. Looks like someone has finally seen the light and this pub, once again, is now stocking the whole range of TT beers. It's a Fulham pub on match days but they're quite an inoffensive bunch so if you go to enjoy the beer I'm sure you'll be fine. Great news. All felt a bit sham...

Balls. Looks like they're looking for recent purchase history. I've been to quite a few games there, but none for the last two seasons so looks like they've reset my account.

It was more a general feel of the front. Parked by the Casino and walked down to Adventure Island with the kids. All along there, up the the Kursaal. I think Southend suffers from having a crap beach. I think it goes beyond the seafront, which has been a bit grim since I can remember. I walked from...

Southend in general has gone right downhill and looks badly in need of investment. The only real reason to go there when I was a youngun was to see all the cars along the circuit but the council have ended that now. Yeah, it has a bit. Areas like Leigh seem to have places opening every week, but So...

The Nightingale Wanstead. Its.open again and been bought by Lampard snr. First thoughts are that the beer selection is pretty poor but the London Pride was quite reasonable. Full review at a later date once it's all settled down. My sister lives a couple of streets away from there so have been quit...

To be fair to him, he scored a couple of important goals last season. But it's an unsustainable situation. Can't have him on the payroll anymore. This is, what, his sixth season now?
