Re: Joorbachian, Sheffield Utd, McCabe and arbitration

Same story on Teamtalk - so why, oh why, haven't others followed up on the The Times story? Lazy hacks or red herrings??

Re: league table next season (Poll)

It's difficult to envisage a PL table where we are not in 10th position. Sort of out of our comfort zone,

Re: Joorbachian, Sheffield Utd, McCabe and arbitration

Which is what was printed in the times, so still only one paper printed it? with no quotes. so is this made by the paper and why are we believing it? It does seem somewhat odd to me that none of the sports writers hasn't commented on this alleged transaction between the club and Kia. Some sports wr...

Re: Joorbachian, Sheffield Utd, McCabe and arbitration

NEW RULE..... Premier League clubs did ratify (at premier league summer meeting) a new rule to outlaw third-party ownership of players to avoid future controversies such as the Carlos Tevez saga. In future, clubs will have to buy out all third-party owners so that they own players' registrations co...

My thoughts also. Has this been reported and/or confirmed anywhere apart from the one newspaper?

Re: Jermain Defoe - a poll

Bring him back? Reading this topic, one could be forgiven for thinking that all we have to do is come calling and he'll be back like a shot. I don't think he'd come back to us, especially after the hideous amount of abuse he took from our supporters when warming up to come on in the Sp*rs game earl...

Let them use Southend's new ground, if it's ready by the time they start the White Hart Lane redevelopment.

In 60 years of supporting the Irons, I thought I'd experienced all the highs and lows imaginable. But the second half of this season has been the biggest rollercoaster ever! Plus there's been the bonus of having the privilege to wonder at the performances of a world class star - ¡Tevez, usted es el ...

With regard to the 'balance of probability' for whether this woman at the Premier League disclosed all the details. It may stand up in a Premier League hearing, but it wouldn't last 5 minutes in a court of law...... In civil cases the test is 'balance of probability' - 'beyond reasonable doubt' is ...

The deadline for transfers (free/out of contract or otherwise) has passed, has it not? I have no idea and bow to your superior knowledge of such rules. But such a condition would in my view appear to be almost tantamount to 'restraint of trade'. Additionally, Tevez might be deemed a 'special case' ...

If the PL choose to cancel his registration then, given that its panel appears to have ruled that he has no legal contract, surely he could be signed outside the transfer window as an out-of-contract player?

Neither Javi nor Carlito to play the full 90 minutes - the former might, just might, start.

To those who are lucky enough to be going to the match - don't mention Las Malvinas!

I'm hoping Hammers can beat Osasuna, just as my Spanish team (Real Betis) did in the Cup. But don't under-rate Osasuna, quite a few La Liga clubs did last season to their cost. Just as well Hammers are not out here playing Betis or Sevilla as it's 109F at the moment, though it should cool down to ar...
