8 years since they won in prem after being behind at halftime. Put some money on 1-2 quick!
That’s a pretty amazing stat for a team of their past stature

But yes, I’m sure we can do our best to end that surprising record for them

Re: Amazon

the 'stadium' atmosphere option seemed a good idea but wasn't even stereo sound, it was mono. there I was primed to get the full stadium experience at home with my full dolby atmos set up and instead only sound from the center speaker. Picture was fine, commentary was dull and cliche. the less said...

Re: Bob Willis RIP

I've very fond childhood memories of summers spent playing cricket in the park, and trying to imitate Bob's trademark cocked-wrist enormous run up. For those moments we were Bob Willis (until our resulting fast delivery went 5 yards wide of the stumps)

Re: Doggone it

That actually works quite well as a dog's name, I think (and before anyone says owt, that's not a reference to our vice chair). Following a family conference, and in line with Whitters' guidelines, it looks like it's going to be 'Alfie'. Or Alfred, when he needs to be reprimanded. Good choice - tha...

I remember reading that the most effective dog names for getting their attention are those of two syllables, with a an 'ee' sound at the end. Therefore I would look at losing the Tarquin and biscuitbarrel at least For th...

Re: Amazon

No problems here with the picture quality, and that’s with using a dns proxy to trick Amazon into thinking I’m in the UK. I do have decent internet speeds, even through a normal line so I’m sure that is a factor

Shame the match doesn’t equally impress

Re: Little things that irritate you

I'm a member of a Facebook Group relating to my brand of guitar. One middle-aged bloke in Texas posted a photo of his impressive collection of 20+ electric guitars so I clicked on his profile out of curiousity to see if he was in a band, more photos, etc, only to notice that of his 100 or so Faceboo...

My family is from the Speyside area so perhaps genetically I seem to favour malts from that area, such as: Balvenie (Doublewood being my favourite) Glenlivet Tamnavulin Tomintoul and similar tasting Highlands: Glengoyne Glendronach Fettercairn and lowlands: Auchentoshan Rosebank I don't mind the occ...

Re: Buying A New Television - 2 -

If you are going to spend good money on a TV then a decent soundbar is a must, in my opinion. Yes at least......personally I've gone for a full Dolby Atmos 5.1.2 surround sound setup and it is really impressive. For me sound is just as important as the picture for getting immersed in what your watc...

Really don't understand the mindset of alot of our fans.

The simple answer is,if you don't like the place...don't go.
It's not really that simple though.....depends how much you want to see the team you support, irrespective of where they play

Re: Olympic Stadium Discussion and Questions

The mega expensive roof provided no protection from the rain in the BML on Saturday. I'm in row 19 and I noticed that even the walkway behind the BML was getting hit by the rain too. My old seat in a similar elevation in the BML in the Boleyn only ever got a bit damp on the most atrocious of days. H...

Why do we call Durham 'County Durham'?

We don't call Essex, County Essex ? :?
I thought it was just a way of showing off and trying to be fancy, a bit like how 'Team GB' has been branded recently rather than just 'Great Britain' like it always was in my youth.

Re: Olympic Stadium Discussion and Questions

Those on the corners will not be as close. whilst those in the middle will be nearer. It's not like they'll be on top of the pitch !!! Check the image again 'Square Off' is the clue to what they are really doing, some win a few feet and some lose, Overall more gain than lose so its 'WHU MOVE FANS N...

Re: If there was no West Ham ?

If they had never existed I probably would have ended up supporting one of the teams my best mates at primary school supported, Chelsea or Millwall, or being the late 70s half the kids in the school seemed to support Liverpool so maybe them. In fact I remember my Millwall supporting mate offering to...

The first couple of seasons you could walk through the seats to get to the rest of the stadium. Have they stopped this now?
I think they changed it post-Burnley to protect the powers-that-be from the riff-raff

Re: Buying A New Television - 2 -

It might have been mentioned before, but if you do ever decide to splash out on a decent 4K TV, and assuming your internet is up to it, you should definitely get the 4K Netflix subscription if you haven't already, as the 4K and HDR content is great (as well as having 4 concurrent users for 'Family' ...
