Re: NCAA College Football

LSU’s ripping OU apart. Complete mismatch when they’re on offense.

Where’d you boys go, Cuenca and BNY? It’s gone quiet here.

Re: ⚽ West Ham United v Leicester City: Match thread (28/12)

Do people believe that another manager could get a tune out of this group of players? They look jaded beyond repair to me.

Re: Christmas Tree Watch

I'll have it down before she can sail back. She wouldn't be wrong though. I made the mistake of saying we should consider a fake tree that has lights on it already and my wife had a mini meltdown.

Think DL needs/needed that guard dog Pete
He's the biggest 110 lb chicken I've ever seen. All the little ankle biter dogs in the park terrorize him.

Re: Christmas Tree Watch

That's my wife for you. She and I own a small event design firm, and at this time of year we also do trees and house decorations for the silicon valley masters of the universe. My wife wraps the branches up and back again. There are 3000+ lights on our tree. When you walk into the room it the temper...

Re: Christmas Tree Watch

Can't have the tree thread fall off the front page 3 days out. Finally got ours up and lit last night. Been trimming late last night and this morning. It's a PIA, but it keeps the old lady pacified for a few days, so worth the effort. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/49261833732_51c3784549_k.jpg ...

Re: Recommendation for kids laptop

My continued thanks to you all. There's a lot of good advice on this thread. I'm still ruminating. My new thought is maybe I let her use one of my older imacs from the office and get a gaming console for both kids. But then that keeps her from going mobile. She and her friends do a lot of animating ...

Re: Ever shat your pants as a fully grown man?

No, but twice have had to crap while on a run. Once in Golden Gate park bushes because it was too early in the morning for the public toilets to be open, the other time on a long run in the countryside in winter time. Just me and the cows in the nearest field to the road. There's nothing like simult...

DL, same over here, although San Francisco is Apple's home turf so you see a lot of it. In schools you tend to see Chromebooks because San Francisco is also Google's home turf and they're much cheaper. Clucking, I have found that the Apple equipment and software have deteriorated in quality signific...

Re: Splitting the Premier league

let's see how many fans make the weekly trek across Europe to watch their side play, especially if they're near the bottom of the super league. Eventually, when Man Utd near relegation, they'll probably propose gaining pts for shirt sales around the globe.

Re: Splitting the Premier league

I've warmed to this idea for a while now. Yeah, the league would suffer from loss of revenue, but you lot are sick of foreign entities controlling the game anyhow. You'd probably get a new champion most years, and clubs like Villa, us, Everton, Leeds etc would be in with a genuine shout every year. ...

Zaza was not cut out for this league he'd take his first touch and before he could plant a foot he'd get knocked off the ball. And when he tried to up his tempo he'd send the ball into space. Not saying he didn't have the ability, he just wasn't suited for it. As for Pėrez, come on. He was a void sp...

Recommendation for kids laptop

My 11 year old daughter wants a laptop for Xmas and I think she’s probably about old enough to get one. She plays Minecraft and a few other games but I wouldn’t call her a gamer. Mostly (using my or my wife’s hardware) she draws and animates using Illustrator and Photoshop and a few other software a...

Re: NCAA College Football

I don't see any way OSU doesn't win it after that momentum-sucking missed FG for Wisconsin. I ended up not being able to watch the second half until late night because of....life. Badgers ended up running out of steam, Bucks got a little help from the officials for one of their td's, but in the end...
