Re: Welcome, Sebastien Haller

Play up on your own, win headers from all the long balls and then get in the box and score from the inevitable **** lofted cross that comes in. I can't imagine anything more annoying that relying on Antonio to provide a cross for you. 10 cut backs then a shot. We've got 1 decent crosser of a ball in...

Re: David Moyes - 18th Permanent Manager of WHUFC

My real issue aside from Masuaku is why Fornals wasn't on for Noble by at least the 70th min. He wasn't applying pressure, he wasn't retaining possession, he was a passenger. Even if Fornals had come on and contributed nothing it wouldn't have made us worse at that stage. I think Moyes got a lot of...

Re: West Ham Utd v Brighton and Hove Albion match thread

I'd like to see it again, but I'm pretty sure Fabianski was fouled for their first goal. It looked like a 2 handed push by Murray, but couldn't see it close enough.

Re: West Ham Utd v Brighton and Hove Albion match thread

I'l have to disagree here. I though first half Soucek in particular supported Haller a lot, and we often saw Antonio and Snodders supporting too. We see 3 goals today and Haller isn't involved in any - and didnt show any goal threat throughout. I said this ages agp, but i think he is a huge problem...

Re: David Moyes - 18th Permanent Manager of WHUFC

I have tried to give Moyes the benefit of the doubt on a few things now, but playing a 6'4 holding midfielder as your number 10 is just peak Moyes. He played Anderson there when he was fit, so not quite grasping the logic of that one.

Re: Mark Noble - West Ham Legend

Said it when Moyes came in that he needed the b*llocks to drop Noble. That performance today would be unacceptable for League 1 pre season. How can a professional manager can look at him moving around the pitch and not see that he's not up to it. He should be ashamed of his fitness levels. He's not ...

Re: West Ham Utd v Brighton and Hove Albion match thread

Haller is absolutely anonymous and to be honest, a bit of a joke. He isn't up to this standard. 35% possession at home to Brighton. Doesn't really sound encouraging. Haller isn't playing well, but doesn't help when every player is 30 yards behind him. If you tried to play football like Brighton whe...

Re: West Ham Utd v Brighton and Hove Albion match thread

It wasn't hand ball. It was obvious today that we were just trying to get it wide and cross it. They were getting people between the lines and dragging all over the shop. We really are trying to play 90's football. Saying that, we should have been out of sight, but our whole defence is a liability. ...

Re: Mark Noble - West Ham Legend

This is becoming a big problem. We were down to 10 men with him behind Haller in the 2nd half. If Moyes can't see that, we are done.

Re: West Ham Utd v Brighton and Hove Albion match thread

Saw it coming a mile off. That's what happens when you play kick and rush football. You get tired. Brighton passed the ball better than us and made subs at the better time. Moyes is getting the team and subs wrong time after time. Soucek straight in to the position that Fornals should have been play...

Great signing if we get it over the line.

Exactly what we need.

Re: The January Transfer Window 2020

Brentford signing Baptiste and Fosu from Oxford. Another couple of clever signings for them that'll probably bring huge profits in the future. I do like Brentfords transfer strategy. Agree, I mentioned earlier on this thread about Baptiste. He ran rings round our lot and he's 21. £3m for them both ...

Re: The January Transfer Window 2020

Difference is that Modric can tackle! Just makes a weak midfield even weaker. He was a decent option before injury but is a shadow of the player he was. I imagine a move to a slower league will do wonders for him. Modric can pass also. The difference with Payet was that he could pass and his final ...

Re: The January Transfer Window 2020

Apart from the Payet season, Lanzini has by and large been meh to me. Loose on the pass, weak in possession and inconsistent. This season he has been really awful. Zero confidence. Scared. Even his ball carrying skills has deserted him after his injury. Eclipsed by Anderson, Fornals and even Snodgr...

Re: WH Holding Ltd accounts released

Does that mean that before Rice's new contract, Brady was on more a week than him? She's on about £5k a week and pretty sure it was mentioned that Declan was on £2-3k.

Re: The January Transfer Window 2020

I think you are misinterpreting what he's saying. He's saying that he's a runner but not explosive, so his burst is below average but once he gets going he runs well, and that he has remarkable stamina to run all game. That he's a solid passer but not an elite one, and that his technique looks awkw...

Re: The January Transfer Window 2020

He’s basically the opposite kind of midfielder to what we’ve wanted, but he isn’t Carlos Sanchez so should be signed right now. Very true. I'm trying to believe there's more to the signing than this, but I watched his YouTube highlights and he scored about 5 headers in the first minute, which is Mo...

Re: The January Transfer Window 2020

Reading the Czech expert is pretty concerning for me. Seems like he's a bit sluggish, doesn't stand out for his passing, his technique isn't great, can be pressed easily, but is good from corners and a good reader of the game. Not sure that's what we've been looking for, but fingers crossed it works...

Re: The January Transfer Window 2020

I'd like to see the leash taken off Rice a bit and get a holding midfielder like Shelvey. Let Rice be the box to box player and the deeper player can control the game a bit more. His burst forward at Sheff Utd showed he can do it and he's our only player shooting at the moment. He's good at breaking...
