Seriously you’d have taken him over Haller before the season started?
I would, just on the basis that I'd never heard of Haller.

In all seriousness though, I thought we'd get 1 of Mitrovic or Rondon + a big name striker and then an Ajeti type.

Re: ⚽ Wolverhampton Wanderers v West Ham United: Match Thread

Noble was our worst player tonight though - looked like a little pup chasing a ball surrounded by Doberman’s He's been poor all season for me. His passing seems to have dropped off, his energy is low, he doesn't seem to have a spring to compete for headers and I've never seen a player in my life bu...

Re: ⚽ Wolverhampton Wanderers v West Ham United: Match Thread

The defensive shape of the team looks a lot better, but Haller is too slow for this league to play up top on his own. I thought that was Fornals' best game for us tonight, but the goals came from piss poor individual errors again. Fredericks losing his man on a corner, which he's done a few times th...

Re: ⚽ Chelsea v West Ham United: Match thread (30/11)

Superb from everyone today. The set up of the team was much better with 2 runners on the wings and everyone looked properly fired up. It's the managers and captains job to make sure that happens again in the next game.

Antonio deserves a special mention. Absolutely superb.

Re: Manuel Pellegrini West Ham United’s 17th manager

Last season was fantastic... this season we started really well Something has clearly gone wrong. On paper we have a fantastic groups of players in my view but something is not clicking (and it's more than the keeper being missing). Players like Haller, Anderson, Yarmo, Lanzini have been playing we...

Re: Manuel Pellegrini West Ham United’s 17th manager

The problem runs deeper than Fabianski being injured. I mentioned the xG rating earlier in the season when we drew with Brighton, but they had so many good chances and we somehow managed to get a draw. Same at Villa, same at Bournemouth. We've only had the better xG against Watford, Norwich and Shef...

Re: Manuel Pellegrini West Ham United’s 17th manager

That's about the knub of it. As many others have commented we always look so unfit, lazy, undisciplined, uninterested and just plain f@@@@@@g useless. It seems to have been like that for many years. We get a new manager in, for a short period there seems to be a bit of improvement then bang! We're b...

Re: Manuel Pellegrini West Ham United’s 17th manager

We can bitch all we like about spending, but we just got humped by Burnley. They've spent a lot less than us, played 4-4-2 and had Jack Cork and Ashley Westwood up against 3 of ours. We should have dominated them in midfield, but we were completely over run. The team has no structure, discipline and...

I noticed Anderson laughing when he was brought off yesterday. I think the players are a bit baffled by it all as well.

Re: Manuel Pellegrini West Ham United’s 17th manager

It has to be Rafa. We need a manager who can organise a team and make us solid. Unfortunately, we have a squad full of players that take the piss and don't work hard enough and they need a manager to crack the whip. There's no one better than him out there to do that. Whether we can get him or not i...

Re: Manuel Pellegrini West Ham United’s 17th manager

We need to tighten up the midfield area to allow our full backs to get into the game more Have Sanchez and Rice played together? We all bemoan how bad Sanchez is but has he played much with Rice? Surely Rice could do with the discipline he would provide. I yhink we should have gone for that option ...

Was Noble playing in the Pelle advanced position before his injury, or did he start deeper ?

Wasn't able to see any of the game at all.
He seemed to be playing alongside Rice from what I saw. A bit deeper.

Re: ⚽ Burnley FC v West Ham United: Match thread (09/11)

I've just watched this again on MOTD again and there were 5 or 6 examples, just on the highlights, of everyone of their midfielders running beyond ours. We aren't reacting to situations or working hard enough. Burnley sprint at the first sign of an error or a potential attack whereas we stroll and w...

Re: Manuel Pellegrini West Ham United’s 17th manager

Right now, I’d take the Cowley brothers in a heartbeat. Pellegrini is foolishly trying to play his high line possession football regardless of the opposition and without the requisite players to succeed. I’ve seen some of our training sessions and we look like Barcelona, but only because the defens...

Re: ⚽ West Ham United v Newcastle United: Match thread (2/11)

I think we're at the stage that he's going to have to start realising this is the case, or he's going to be in serious ****. It's not even the results for me, it's simply the football we play. Snod is a wonderful squad player & a great pro, but he's a Matt Taylor or a JOB. When he's starting and st...

Re: ⚽ West Ham United v Newcastle United: Match thread (2/11)

Its baffling to me that over the past few months, Anderson, Yarmo, Fredericks and Masuaku look to be comfortably the most creative and he's dropped 2 of them and keeps subbing the other 2.

Re: ⚽ West Ham United v Newcastle United: Match thread (2/11)

Newcastle looked like a team that were prepared for us. They knew we push to the edge of the box, when the ball goes back out, so they just did the same and dropped it into the space we left. The players all seem to stop trying to defend and just focus on getting in a line on the edge of the box. We...
