Re: The summer transfer window 2019 thread

I have no idea if Pulgar is any good or any better than obiang, but you would guess that he is the right player we need and his nationality would see us in good stead to get him re the manager. But it depends on if he wants european football. A decent age for a change too. Has to be said, re foreign...

Re: Pedro Obiang

If he was played more often then he would have been more consistently good for us. Typically, like kouyate, we're getting rid of a player who doesn't get injured much and puts in a shift and we actually need. We need two good defensive midfielders as all of sanchez, rice and noble have their shortco...

Re: The gay footballer (non WHU)

I just get fed up with football being used as a bandwagon for people to virtue signal about so many different issues. It's just a sport that anyone can play or talk about and it doesn't have any more homophobic or racist or sexist people than anywhere else. It's just if you gather lots of people in ...

Re: Prediction thread

Depending on if obiang & fernandes get replaced by one or two monster defensive midfielders who can track opposition runners and mark properly.... 1, where will we finish? yes - 7th no - 10th 2, what will our goal difference be? yes - +8 no - -8 3, how will we fare against Spurs? i don't want to ans...

Re: The summer transfer window 2019 thread

I don't quite know why we some on here are placing sanchez above obiang? I'd say the latter was the better player but that's not saying much. But if Obiang goes, that means we have got rid of three central defensive midfielders recently what with Kouyate and Fernandes and still our defence is poor. ...

Re: The summer transfer window 2019 thread

Daily Record journalist Keith Jackson has claimed that West Ham and Crystal Palace are believed to be showing “tentative interest” in Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos. Last season, the Colombia international scored 30 goals and provided 11 assists in just 48 games. And he has already got off the mark...

Re: 2019/20 Formation and Tactics

I just can't see how we will be strong enough in central midfield relying on just rice. You need at least him and noble, if not someone else, but sanchez seems to be coming up short. I always thought Obiang was ok but to be honest, all of our defensive midfielders can be lacking at times, including ...

Re: West Ham United v Manchester City: Asia Trophy Match Thread

I just watched the highlights. Obviously they are edited but you have to say on those that the result flattered city. It could have been 3-3. One less penalty to them and one for us and one more had we not hit the post. Defence was dodgy as normal. I still think we have the players in Diop, Ogbonna,...

Re: The summer transfer window 2019 thread

My only worry is we look light weight, certainly in central midfield.. It's all very well having players like anderson, fornals, lanzini, wilshere, but as soon as we lose the ball we're stuffed.

Re: The summer transfer window 2019 thread

Just referring to Neal Maupay. I've seen him live a few times, he isn't very good. If we don't go for him, it will be the same as not going for Scott Hogan. Maupay also has a temper on him. Go for Rondon.

Re: The summer transfer window 2019 thread

So are we saying then that having got rid of Fernandes, we can get rid of obiang and sanchez and we are left with two defensive midfielders in Rice and Noble? One who does still make mistakes and one who probably now can't last 90 minutes? We've already proven for a couple of seasons that we are wea...

Re: Who Is The Most Recent 'World Class' Englishman?

I thought Kane was average in the WC semi final, and properly bad in the CL final. Sterling has improved massively, but still lacks a sense of genius, to be rated world class, for me. I'm with you on this. I'm not convinced we currently have any world class players. However, i'd be happy to see us ...

No offence but does it have to be this seasons kit in full? Can you not just pick up just a west ham shirt from any season cheap elsewhere?
