Re: Roberto Jimenez

Rather than the Fabianski injury thread being hijacked, I thought I'd post my thoughts on Roberto here. Having seen him a couple of times now in the flesh I'm starting to form an opinion. Clearly his distribution is a concern. His kicking so far has lacked accuracy, in both direction and length. Hop...

Re: Other PL games 28th-30th

Vardy with his 2nd and Leicester’s 4th

There are more goals in this for Leicester if they want them as Newcastle are terrible.

Re: ⚽ West Ham United v Crystal Palace: Match Thread

strange - Masuaku starts all the games, gets a red, Cresswell plays well, Masuaku plays mid week and not even in yesterdays squad. :? Same reason Cresswell wasn’t on the bench when Masuaku was in the team, Zabaleta can fill in at left back if needed despite being a right back. Masuaku/Cresswell can...

Hamilton, Leclerc, and Verstappen is a great battle and advert for F1. Would be great if we get it at the end of the race.

Re: Away tickets 2019 / 2020 season

If you go on the official site I believe they have contact details for the OSB members https://www.whufc.com/fans/osb/profiles The link for the survey is here https://seanyw.survey.fm/west-ham-ticketing-survey I'd suggest everyone on here does the survey. Sean Whetstone is running it Very worrying ...

Re: ⚽ West Ham United v Crystal Palace: Match Thread

I’d be targeting a home win but Palace shouldn’t be disrespected. Since the turn of the year they have the 4th best record in the league: https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/premier-league/jahrestabelle/wettbewerb/GB1/saison_id/2019 Fabianski will be a big miss (unless he makes a shock return). Lanzini/...

Agree Phil. https://www.kumb.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=172413&sk=a&start=20#p5377854 I posted the above back in January so half expected something to happen prior to this season, but perhaps they needed to prep more for it, which could well be happening with this meeting next week. The key thing...

Re: ⚽Oxford United v West Ham United: LC R3 Match Thread

the club should refund every fan that went if not the club then the players what would it cost £10-£15k ?? I went last night, and whilst I'd welcome a refund for such an abject and abysmal display, ultimately it's my choice whether to be an AST and go, and I know football (and West Ham) can often l...

Re: Mark Noble - West Ham Legend

Taken from the BBC as Mark Noble features in Garth Crooks team of the week:

West Ham have won 47% of their Premier League games when Mark Noble has started under Manuel Pellegrini (15/32), compared to just 18% when he hasn't (2/11).

5-0 after 17 minutes, this could be the day the Premier League finally dies for me, suffocated by Man City’s oil money :thdn:
This result has little to do with Man City’s spending prowess but more so because of how **** Watford have been, could’ve been 10 in that half easily.

Re: VAR - yes or no ?

VAR = Yes

VAR with PGMOL = No

Clear penalty not given for Bournemouth and not overturned by VAR - or the referee asked to check it on the monitor.

If they’re just going to back up their mates, there is no point in it.

So much for those 4 VAR mistakes being a one off error. Bournemouth not given a clear penalty.

Re: Mike Dean

Noble got booked for persistent fouling. Dean held up four fingers, when showing the yellow card to him. We complain when other teams don't get booked for persistent fouling, can't complain now. Thought the second yellow for Arthur was harsh, as referees usually warn players, unless they deem the t...

 I probably am!

To your previous point, I do indeed make a living as an analyst, so always good to do something on things related to West Ham!

If I get a chance at times I’ll update the list.

I did a thread with some stats for refs back in December/January:

Dean actually has a fair distribution of results for us in the league.

Yeah but that’s via a separate link to each individual posters profiles I’m talking about the users post count/join date on posts I wouldn’t worry about it too much, Janus - I suspect it’s probably just added clutter for many people these days, and I know with older phpbb it wasn’t so much of an is...

Re: England Cricket Summer 2019 ODI World Cup and Ashes

I’d give it to Buttler. He hasn’t had a great summer but did well last year in tests. He was also vice captain for a while and seems level headed. I’d hope he has the mentality to help bring the best out of him with the bat as a captain too. Could also be a way to align captains throughout the forma...
