Re: England Cricket Summer 2019 ODI World Cup and Ashes

Finally got him for 82 caught in the deep by Stokes.

Forgetting the cheating for a moment, I’d be more accepting of his ridiculous talent if he didn’t look like he was just constantly taking the piss!

Leach almost overstepping again! Criminal as a spinner.

Re: England Cricket Summer 2019 ODI World Cup and Ashes

Strange approach post tea. Instead of attacking and giving us a slight chance of winning this game, we’ve gone to trying to take time out of the game to help draw this.

Much like the decisions to declare too late to ensure we definitely don’t lose (see Lords).

Jofra gets Labuschagne (reviewed but Umpires call so they don’t unfortunately lose their final review) :scarfer:

Harris gone - losing an Aussie review in the process - it’s Smith and his clone in now though. Can’t let them settle!

Re: England Cricket Summer 2019 ODI World Cup and Ashes

Buttler gone and we trail by 196.

Need a miracle bowling performance now! Can’t let them score quickly otherwise we could be back in bat today. Expect they’ll want a lead of 400.

Re: England Cricket Summer 2019 ODI World Cup and Ashes

Buttler you beauty! Follow on avoided - leach a hero again at the other end :D

Smuts, I don’t think it is just about the different formats and favouring white ball cricket. The best batsmen adapt and Stokes at Headingley was the greatest innings to show that, it’s all about application.

Re: England Cricket Summer 2019 ODI World Cup and Ashes

What’s even more frustrating is that bar Denly, all the batsmen have got in - to an extent - yet on 2 converted to 50 and neither of them were able to convert to a ton. The coaching is clearly not right as the mentality is poor with the bat.

Never saw them reach their peak or fulfill their potential, I guess it means? Presumably with us if the OP is suggesting Bellamy
Yeah that’s how I interpreted the statement about Ashton.

“The greatest striker we never saw”

I’ve just watched the below YouTube video from Geo on Hammerschat with Dean Ashton, which is very much recommended, and it got me thinking when Geo says Ashton was the greatest striker we never saw. Would we all concur with that, or who else would we pick? Perhaps we shouldn’t limit it to just strik...

Re: Welcome to the new KUMB Forum

Great work UTJ and janus! Is this all part of the change to remove .com and become ‘KUMB London’ though?! Only feedback I have is the logo/header on mobile (iPhone XS Max I’m portrait mode), when scrolling down a thread, the logo is bigger than the header so overlaps the centre big of the page where...

Re: Away tickets 2019 / 2020 season

Dwight, I obviously can’t speak for other long-standing AST holders on this thread who, like me, have defended their position, but have a read through numerous posts in this thread which have accused us of selling tickets and not going, to not putting in work to get the tickets. It all adds up and n...

Re: Away tickets 2019 / 2020 season

Controversial but I believe this could be improved by the following: 1.scrap the away season ticket holder scheme for next season meaning that those currently in the scheme would start on maximum points but would need to apply through the points window, having to work for their tickets. 2. The club...

Re: A plea for common sense: time to end the media blackout

tizzwoz, twice you've called KUMB an amateur site. I think that is a real insult to Graeme who is far from an amateur with this website. Perhaps you mean independently run site and if so should rectify the posts which you mention it as I think it's poor form in its current state. Just look at EX - I...
