Re: A plea for common sense: time to end the media blackout

tizzwoz, twice you've called KUMB an amateur site. I think that is a real insult to Graeme who is far from an amateur with this website. Perhaps you mean independently run site and if so should rectify the posts which you mention it as I think it's poor form in its current state. Just look at EX - I...

Re: VAR - yes or no ?

The Bournemouth vs Man City game confirmed to me the biggest thing that I was worried about wIth VAR. The referees watching at Stockley Park don’t want to highlight that their mate has made an incorrect decision. There is no doubt that it’s a penalty on David Silva, it’s as clear as they come. As mu...

Re: A plea for common sense: time to end the media blackout

Good article and a good video from Kris (somebody I'm pleased to say I've got to know down at the boats and away games). I've been been a member on KUMB for over 15 years now, and visited it to read content prior to that. To see the club not embrace sites like this or YouTube channels like Hammers C...

Re: England Cricket Summer 2019 ODI World Cup and Ashes

Embarrassing! Something is wrong behind the scenes - maybe with Bayliss leaving - as the application is horrific. Credit to Australia who've bowled really well and caught perfectly but still to be going into Lunch 6 down in good batting conditions, something stinks. Root averages 10 runs less at 3 t...

Re: England Cricket Summer 2019 ODI World Cup and Ashes

Awesome from Archer. I remember at the start of the World Cup a couple of part time cricket fans asking me if I thought he was really as good as the hype. I think he’s showing he is! Hopefully the batting line up do their job now, for 2 reasons, one to obviously take complete control of the test but...

Re: ⚽ Watford v West Ham Utd: match thread

Pleased to see Deeney is out, and Doucoure and Pereyra are doubts, but they still have some good players who can hurt us - Deulofeu is the obvious. Always a big game for me after growing up locally and lots of family and friends who are supporters (oh and the guy who’s the big furry bee ). Last...

Re: Away tickets 2019 / 2020 season

Great post earlier TPP. It’s annoying to each year see similar posts accusing AST’s selling tickets! This is the 5th or 6th year I’ve had mine and I can count on one hand the number of times I’ve sold a ticket on and it’s only ever been because of a legitimate reason to miss a game, eg a wedding. I ...

Re: VAR - yes or no ?

It was the second movement aaron - the first contact is debatable and outside the area so I could understand no pen for that, it was a judgement. It's the second, the cynical hook of Antonio's leg from the ground and that's clearly in the area. And a pen all day. It would be unfair to say the foul ...

Re: VAR - yes or no ?

Just watched the full highlights for our game on Saturday. For Brighton’s disallowed goal it took 1 minute and 20 seconds from the goal going in to it being disallowed. A minute of that was celebrations and getting ready for kick off. So what we’re talking about there is a 20 second delay to get the...

Re: VAR - yes or no ?

Can I just say, I’m struggling with the argument about celebrating goals being taken away because of VAR as if it didn’t used to happen? There have been many occasions fans and players celebrate only to see 30 seconds later that the flag was up for offside, or the ref to go and make a decision with ...

Re: ⚽ Brighton and Hove Albion vs West Ham United: Match Thread

On the train back from the AMEX now and reading this I must’ve missed the 2nd Brighton goal or others must have missed VAR disallowing the goal for them.

A good point away from home without our 2 key players. 1st half we weren’t great but 2nd half we did well.

Re: England Cricket Summer 2019 ODI World Cup and Ashes

Good couple of overs, need to get Smith before the rain and then it's game on! If he gets in before the rain, it probably takes us winning this test out of the equation. We do have a hope though as I've sold by Sunday tickets...

Re: ⚽ Brighton and Hove Albion vs West Ham United: Match Thread

I was quite confident, despite our 5-0 loss and their 3-0 win, that we could get a win tomorrow - then heard that Anderson and Haller were doubts, which is a concern. I think we can still get a result though. If Anderson is not fit then Fornals is the natural replacement with Lanzini going to the le...

Re: England Cricket Summer 2019 ODI World Cup and Ashes

I've got 2 tickets for Day 5 on Sunday, not sure I can be bothered to go and see us potentially lose! Think I'll play instead (not at Lords or for England, but my club side...).

Re: Adrián San Miguel del Castillo

Loved Adrian and so pleased he’s got a taste of success which avoided him whilst he was a Hammer. I remember realising we had somebody who got us from Tottenham away in his first season - in both games. When we played them and won 3-0, Adrian was on the bench and had only played 2 games against Chel...

Might not like Liverpool but I love Adrian and so pleased to see him win the super cup! :crest:

Also makes it ever better that it was at the expense of Lampard and that he was off his line for the penalty save!

Re: Super Cup

Seeing some other angles just then, it’s not a penalty for me. Was it clear and obvious though, not really so I can see why the referees decision wasn’t changed.
