Re: West Ham Utd v Bournemouth: match thread (18/8)

I still can't get over that slack play by Snodgrass that starts the whole mess off catching us on the back foot. Doesn't excuse everyone else's failure to deal with it including the Keeper who's getting off lightly but Snodgrass ****ed up badly when in possession gifting it back to them the way he ...

Re: Robert Snodgrass signs

I thought he was one of the better players on Saturday (which isn't saying much, admittedly). Yes, he played a pass that didn't work which led to the first goal. Another way of putting that though is that his misplaced pass allowed Wilson to enter a 1-on-5 situation which would put the blame where i...

Re: Olympic Stadium Discussion and Questions

Also baffles me that we can't just have 100's of pints standing there waiting to go at half time. Other areas of the ground have this but the area between the dug out and the away fans just feels like a completely forgotten part of the ground. Probably worried about wastage/complaints about warm be...

Behave. Fabianski has been our best player in both games so far. There's only so much he can do when the defence in front of him is so poor.

Re: Manuel Pellegrini West Ham United’s 17th manager

Imagine it was his first competitive game with West Ham away at anfield against the champions league finalists who spent more than we did on 10 signings in 3. Were people not expecting some bedding in issues. think back to Klopps first season with Liverpool where we beat them. How much of a miracle...

Re: West Ham Utd v Bournemouth: match thread (18/8)

I would keep the same team, but replace either of Noble or Rice with Sanchez, and potentially the other one with Obiang However, I always would have no issue in keeping the same team, as Bournemouth at home is not comparable to Liverpool Away so happy to give that eleven another chance in a more re...

Re: Edimilson Fernandes Signs

I think this is a good move for the lad. Hope to see him get some good game time in, certainly a lot more than he would if he sat around the Olympic Stadium for a year. He has promise, hope they can bring him on a bit. Story in the past few days is that they have an agreement to buy him next summer...

We've just come off a game where Rice was hooked at half time for being way off the pace and Wilshere made less passes than Liverpool's keeper.....

Re: Aaron Cresswell signs.

Completely agree with above comments. I was surprised not to see him in the starting line up. I'd really like the look of our back four with him in the side. He looked like he aggravated his injury in the 1 pre season game that he played in. I know MP listed our injuries and he wasn't in it, but I'...

Re: Manuel Pellegrini West Ham United’s 17th manager

pellegrini's philosophy is to engineer a team with a set way of playing over weeks and months, he's not a reflexive manager who will chuck out a game plan within half an hour. we got a crash course in what can go wrong up at anfield. I don't disagree with any of that. But if those tactics aren't wo...

No permanent transfers outside of the window. I'm sure we'd have sold him if there was an acceptable offer - the fact he's gone on loan suggests that there wasn't!

Not disputing it, but everything I read said that getting the deal sheet in before 5pm meant you had till 7pm to complete the deal, so I'm not sure how they're doing it today!

Everton hoping to complete a loan deal for Zouma today - anyone know how they're allowed to do that? Thought it was deal sheet by 5pm, deal done by 7pm?

Re: Summer Transfer Window 2018- CLOSED/ BUT OPEN IN EUROPE

£1m today is nothing - hardly a risk. You're right - it is nothing. I think the fact he clearly wanted out, and that we can negotiate a 10% sell on would be the attractive part. If he stays here, we don't select him as he'd be miles down the list to start, and a tribunal probably gives us a few hun...

It's being reported as permanent. £1m with some add ons and a 10% sell on clause.

If nothing is happening now (bar Sanchez), then we're pretty much out of time to do anything, especially for anyone currently outside England.

You'd need at least £30m on top of Snodgrass for that to even be considered.

Re: Summer Transfer Window 2018- Deadline day

I'd say we've improved the squad with these additions. For me, Fabianski > Hart Fredericks > Byram Wilshere > Fernandes Sanchez > Kouyate Perez > Hugill Anderson > Mario Balbuena > Evra Diop v Collins - jury has to be out on that as I haven't seen enough of Diop. Yarmolenko doesn't seem to have repl...
