Re: David Moyes - 18th Permanent Manager of WHUFC

Re: David Moyes - 18th Permanent Manager of WHUFC

David Sullivan, the club’s powerful co-owner, has resumed control of transfer negotiations and is under increasing pressure to get an unbalanced, injury-hit squad out of a hole.
So Sullivan will take the blame if we don't bring enough quality this week then?

Re: The January Transfer Window 2020

I look at this from a very basic standpoint: Games are won or lost via the midfield. Ours is garbage after a decline of a few years, and therefore we find ourselves in this position. If G&S don't bring in 1-2 midfielders in the next 3 days, this season & top-flight football is over. Yet it would ha...

Re: David Moyes - 18th Permanent Manager of WHUFC

I'm no fan of Moyes but to hear he only has one member of backroom staff and only one scout does make me feel a bit of sympathy for him. No wonder he is staying late at the training ground!

Re: David Sullivan - Has he taken us as far as he can ?

So Gold & Sullivan are taking money out of the club now so that if / when they sell, the 'list price' is lower? Presumably to attract more bidders?

Yeah, that's exactly what I'm saying. He's got enough in the bank. Why not now at 84 years of age, just sit back put his feet up and enjoy whatever time he has left
He's not exactly working is he?

Re: Pablo Fornals

I think it's more that we don't have a wide player so Fornals gets pushed out there. A bit like Scholes on the left for England.

Re: David Moyes - 18th Permanent Manager of WHUFC

I’m hearing, quite reliably, that Moyes is waiting until the deadline passes before bringing anymore staff in The reason? Broken promises on transfer funds. We’ll be looking for another manager from next Sat, which would hopefully have the press finally outing these thieving ***** for what they rea...

Re: Welcome, Sebastien Haller

I reckon whether we stay up or not, he's off at the end of the season. He's just not interested. Sadly, there's a tiny bit of me that doesn't blame him. He needs to take as much responsibility as any other player. He does nothing! He doesn't show for the ball, he doesn't run in behind, he doesn't c...

Re: David Moyes - 18th Permanent Manager of WHUFC

That’s on the owners though. Bilic was doing a good job in the circumstances and was the man to have built a legacy here. We’ve genuinely not seen any improvement from 2016. Joe Cole made the point about spending money wisely. We have spent so much money since leaving Upton Park and have absolutely...

Why did Moyes start him today? Is he really better than our youth players?

Re: David Moyes - 18th Permanent Manager of WHUFC

Now, it's up to the owners to get him what he feels he needs. If the rumours are true, we are supposedly chasing a right back, an energetic and/or physical midfielder and possibly a striker. It's no secret that we have been desperately short in those three positions since Billic was here. Those 3/4...

The goal looks worse every time I see it. Not just giving the ball away but three defenders doing nothing while the striker gets a shot away.

Re: David Moyes - 18th Permanent Manager of WHUFC

We needed four players this window. We needed a Manager who would ask for that at least before he took the job. That's the time to play your hand. I posted in the Transfer thread that Moyes & Sullivan should have had 6/8 players ready to come in on January 1st. Moyes has said it himself, the proble...

Re: The January Transfer Window 2020

Like DL pointed out on another thread, if we get relegated then the value of the club and players drops. GSB gain nothing from relegation.

Re: The January Transfer Window 2020

Moyes & Sullivan should have had 6/8 players lined up to come in this month. The earlier the better. There is no excuse for that not happening.
