Re: ⚽ Chelsea v West Ham United: Match thread (30/11)
The one thing you can be certain of, if Chelsea do get a couple of early goals, Lampard will be insistent that they don't sit back like Spurs did last week. He will love every moment of today. Indeed he will. I fear the worst today and except us to ship in a sackful. I hate being so pessimistic but...

Re: What did you watch last night?
Following on from the Lawrence of Arabia theme, I caught an excellent documentary on Sam Speigel on Sky Arts a couple of days ago. He was pretty much lauded as the greatest movie producer ever and his back story is fascinating. Like many European based Jews, Speigel fled to the USA but not before se...

Re: ⚽ Chelsea v West Ham United: Match thread (30/11)
Football is a funny old game and there's a slender hope we might get something out of tomorrow's game. In reality though, we will of course lose and our miserable run will continue. Such is our malaise right now, I would bite Lawro's hand off for a 2-1 defeat!

I haven't watched this in years but over the last week we've kinda got sucked in and I'm hooked this year. It's addictive.Up the Junction wrote: ↑Thu Nov 28, 2019 3:04 pm

Re: What did you watch last night?
Agreed. In my humble opinion, the greatest movie ever made. I was priveliged to see it digitally remastered on the big screen a few years ago, thoroughly recommend if you get the chance.

Re: Who Next? The odds
Dyche would not be my first choice, nor would we be his first choice either. However, if he took over tomorrow I would welcome him and he would be a massive improvement on our incumbent manager whose get up and go got up and went a long time ago.

Re: Manuel Pellegrini West Ham United’s 17th manager
Saying that, this is the least emotional I think I’ve ever felt about a change of manager. It’s just Groundhog Day and I fundamentally believe it won’t change anything as we’ll be here again with 18 months until the self interested idiots at the top move on. And therein lies our problem. Most of us...

It's not often I agree with Shearer but his post match comments on MOTD were on the money.
We are embarrassingly bad right now. Noble knows it too and at least he says it how it is.

Re: Who Next? The odds
Benitez would be uninspiring, he had his chance and blew us out.
The sad truth is that as long as GSB remain in charge, we will never attract a manager with any passion, hunger or ambition. Who would want to work with them?

Re: Manuel Pellegrini West Ham United’s 17th manager
the fact is, the owners of this club ( our club ) are out of their depth , trapped in a 1980's ideology of the football world , both have been found out , both are unliked ( being kind ) their mouthpiece our vice chair I believe is universally detested , however she does not care as her media image...

Re: Manuel Pellegrini West Ham United’s 17th manager
I agree the two goals will probably buy Pellegrini more time. Papering over the cracks, though in reality they're chasms more than cracks He needs to go. We are going down if he stays. Eddie Howe would be my choice, but no way would he chuck in his neat and tidy "comfortable" job to come a...
