Re: The January Transfer Window 2020

From what I've seen of him, if we were to play Bowen on the right and Antonio on the left, both getting up, around, and beyond Haller, we'd have a pretty productive front three. That, however, leaves no space for Anderson unless we go to a 4-2-3-1. Doesn't bother me, Anderson's been dog for over a ...

Re: The January Transfer Window 2020

Bowen would be a terrific signing if we can get this one over the line.

Josh King going to Man Utd would also be good news for us.

Re: Sunday Supplement

Interesting... I wondered why the West Ham segment had been removed from the podcast when I listened to it earlier in the week.

Re: David Moyes - 18th Permanent Manager of WHUFC

We would have been relegated under Bilic. We were shipping goals all over the place. WBA put 4 past us.Players were unfit and Arnie was playing left wing and not firing. Sako wanted out and Caroll was always injured. It was a mess. I expect we would've gone down under Slav, but I would have accepte...

Re: The January Transfer Window 2020

Tomkins was a shame but wanted to play regular and was 3rd choice here. According to many on here they could not wait to be rid of CK as he was a liability etc. I never wanted him gone and with hindsight we see what a poor decision it was (far poorer for me than losing Obiang). I stand by Kouyate b...

Re: David Moyes - 18th Permanent Manager of WHUFC

We'd been shafted by not playing at home until mid sept as well because of the athletics. Good point. For what its worth I wouldn't have sacked Bilic, he had earned his right to try and dig us out of it and still had the players playing for him (see the cup win at Spurs in the midweek before the ga...

Re: David Moyes - 18th Permanent Manager of WHUFC

He took over in November last time didn't he? Hardly a relegation battle at that point. We weren't even in the bottom three were we? We were 3 points above the relegation zone if I remember rightly but a sinking ship more importantly, we had only won 2 games out of the first 11 in the league. Moyes...

He managed us before, wrote off games he didn't think he could win and ground out ones he did.
Often required in a relegation battle. The harsh reality is we are **** and can only give a good game to other sides equally as **** as us.

Re: David Moyes - 18th Permanent Manager of WHUFC

There’s a whole load more than one or two people happy that Moyes is back, and believe he is perhaps our best chance to provide the root and branch surgery that might just ultimately wrestle control of transfers and the footballing side of the club away from Sullivan and his ‘trusted agents’ in to ...

Re: David Moyes - 18th Permanent Manager of WHUFC

Right right, the silly comments... But secretly every fan wished he managed their team like the famed Everton team under his tenure. Glory dayz Teams of our level, yes. I would bite your hand off for a team of our quality pushing to get in the top 4 every season regardless of how "****" the footbal...

Re: David Moyes - 18th Permanent Manager of WHUFC

People are mainly laughing at Moyes because of all the silly comments he made in his time at United and Sunderland. Moyes is an internet meme and unfortunately that kind of thing sticks with supporters more than the job he did over many years at Everton.

Chinese league suspended over the virus, cheeky loan bid for Arnie to keep us up again?
Come on ageing, this is West Ham, if Arnie comes back from China you just know he will infect our whole squad with Cornonavirus

Re: West Ham Utd v Liverpool: match thread

Not a terrible result but in truth we never really looked like troubling Liverpool mostly due to the setup being so negative and also a lack of form in our forward players. Honestly thought Lanzini had a decent first half, gutted for him to get cheered off. When did we become the type of fans that c...

Welcome Tomas.

A position we have desperately needed quality reinforcements in for a long time, hopefully this one pays off. I'm sure he is going to be better than Sanchez if nothing else, hopefully an improvement on Snodgrass/Noble too.

Re: West Ham Utd v Liverpool: match thread

I don't see anything but a defeat tonight unfortunately, what a top top side they are, on the plus side I expect it to be a much tighter game than if Pellegrini was in charge just not sure where our goals are going to come from. I would setup like this (assuming Fab and Snodgrass are fit to play): F...

Re: The January Transfer Window 2020

I find it a bit strange we are looking at another right back as our next priority after CDM when we already have Zabaleta and Fredericks who is set to come back fairly soon (Ben Johnson is a viable option longer term when he is fit). Especially now that we are out of the FA Cup and the fixture conge...

Re: David Moyes - 18th Permanent Manager of WHUFC

Most sides have a handful of coaches and then extensive medical, physio, scouting and analyst teams. So we're probably only a coach or two short in the coaching department, who knows on the rest since we don't put it on the website but I'd assume at the very least we have little in the scouting and...
