That's you - bit of Betway spiel - 14/1 top six, 8/1 to finish above Totts... not bad value if you're an eternal optimist!

Re: Manager 15: The Poll

With regards to :arry: , thirded. Since the question was "Who would I like to see as the next West Ham manager?" I've played to the whistle and plumped for Ancelotti, even if I think it's an absolute pipe dream in reality. Stranger things have happened though. If the question was "Who do I think we'...

Still is in my eyes but a very poor day at the office. Fluffed his lines regularly, but was unlucky with the free kick dink to Nolan.

Re: West Ham United v Stoke City: Match Thread.

A lame duck as manager. Lame ducks on the pitch. A performance that sums up failures at board level. Be interested to hear that last point developed. For me, the failure to invest in January was criminal, but I understand them since that window usually provides poor value for money. I'd be interest...

Re: West Ham United v Stoke City: Match Thread.

Now Sam has to be hoist on his own petard apropos statistics... I'm not respecting a point at home with a putrid second-half display like that. Not even with statistics saying we led for 93% of the game. Some of the most negative decisions I've seen yet and it has cost us once again. :thdn:

Happy anniversary to you and Karen CH. Interesting factoid is it's also my wedding anniversary today! Seven years in my case... highs and lows just like following West Ham, but I wouldn't change a thing!

I'd have Carlitos back by the way... by the book this time.

Re: One of the biggest regrets of his life

I've always been of the opinion that Duckenfield lied through his teeth, admittedly amplified by Jimmy McGovern's documentary on the subject which aired in 1995(?). The interesting points raised here for me as an advocate of safe standing are, he also lied to Taylor, rendering parts of that report i...

Re: Mark Noble - West Ham Legend ?

Fair point BMU but how many of his 10years as a first team player has he been the DM? Being a STH when he made his debut (and there besides), up until recently we've either played with a flat bank of three or four midfielders, of which he's usually been the rear-most or the most defensive-minded. M...

Re: Mark Noble - West Ham Legend ?

BMU, any debate is formed in part of opinion and again I stand by mine, MN has been and will continue to be a good servant but in cycling parlance he is a domestique doing a job rather than the GC rider. Interesting analogy, but pray tell which defensive midfielder is in the grand scheme of things?...

Re: Mark Noble - West Ham Legend ?

I've already gone one round with you before on this snooperpooper, you're entitled to your opinion as much as anyone else. I think you and the Noble-dissers are totally wrong though. Just got off the 'phone with an Arse fan cooing over Noble, saying how much he'd fit into their side, to which I told...
