Re: ⚽ West Ham United v Arsenal :Match thread (9/12)

Battle of the 'tards

We might just have a sniff if Antonio is playing well but so many issues. They have a strike force we don't. In the soul drainer too.

Re: F A Cup 3rd Round draw

Liverpool or Man City away so we can disguise not bothering by being beaten by a better outfit rather than not bothering vs some lower league load of tripe and the utter misery that goes with it. :scarfer:

Re: Protests against the board being planned

Nothing changes at all in fact it wound me up even more because I’d never miss Chelsea away but due to walking away from a season ticket at the soul drainer I have also forfeited any sniff of an away ticket.

Re: Protests against the board being planned

I agree on the wish. The problem is and go where? We would be looking for an owner with ~1bn to spend on a new ground + the asking price + money to invest in keeping us in the PL. I don't think we need to spend that much, just a decent 40k ish capacity , 4 sided new build, somewhere not fashionable...

Re: Protests against the board being planned

That's why for me, cards on the table, I want "out of the stadium" as the protest goal. I say this in the best interest of West Ham United FC. That means whatever it takes, wherever we end up. :crest: This is it ^, we have to get out of there at any cost. Moaning about investment, form, etc etc cou...

Re: Protests against the board being planned

It may be late but everything should be aimed at getting us out of that soul drainer. How far would we need to go down before the payments are unsustainable? I can handle being **** that's fine it's all part of supporting this shower but playing home games in this place is a whole new thing. It'll n...

Re: Who was responsible for signing Roberto?

I think Roberto just highlights the fact that Fabianski performing at very high levels every week was papering over our lack of defensive quality and investment. Without him the wheels have truly come off. It certainly looks like someone has taken a monetary driven fitness gamble on the signings bet...

Re: ⚽ Chelsea v West Ham United: Match thread (30/11)

Oooh it's away perhaps it might not be played in total silence. 5-0 They are scoring a few and managed to secure a good percentage of Europe's top young talent before their transfer ban. When I've watched them on tv lately they really do move the ball about well, crisp fast passing, willing runners ...

Re: Do we matter to other clubs fans.

Does anyone here give a flying one about another clubs fans? There are certain fans out there (Sunderland, Man city old etc) who I have respect for, fans who you can engage with in a conversation about football and not cringe. I get you can't generalise too much across an entire club's fanbase but ...

Re: David Sullivan - Has he taken us as far as he can ?

West Ham United died when we moved. West Ham London was born. Right now I’d happily take Red Bull as new owners & suffer all the branding if they sorted out the stadium and brought the same approach they have with Salzburg & Leipzig. Same, I wish they'd change the name of it to totally end the pini...

Re: Do we matter to other clubs fans.

Years ago it wouldn't bother me what people thought because I knew our support was second to none. Win , lose or draw we'd have a laugh sing our hearts out and take the piss. All that changed in May 2016. We are not special anymore just a disliked shell of our former selves. Most other fans still th...

Sp*rs could have one of a chicken walking about, feeding on scraps and that before having it's next snapped, plucked and shoved into a pot of boiling water with the Southampton song on the speakers to enhance the atmosphere.

Re: VAR - yes or no ?

Don't bother paying for tickets / travel / TV subscriptions all you need to do is see what final score some computer penis has decided upon with no reasoning that day. If you take a step back and look at the whole thing it's not that unlike WWE it's just a make-up. There's a decent chance we will be...

I understand peoples pessimism, but Bournemouth also lost on Wednesday, so i'm not sure why people are think that our performance will only affect us and that their own won't affect them?
Wednesday won't affect our players they clearly couldn't have cared less.

Re: Who will be Mark Noble´s long term successor?

He's the last piece of real West Ham left. Whether he's slow, rubbish etc etc he actually cares like we do. You cannot replace that. So let's get a massive powerful African from the French second division for peanuts who sprints continuously blasting through players/walls without taking a breath who...

Re: 30 times in 49 years: that joke isn't funny anymore

This latest debacle in the sequence of shame is that of our players being out fought by a much hungrier Oxford. Why is this? I can't see Pellers sending them out with a half arsed attitude. I think the players get the feeling from above Pellers that if they go out of the cup then "Hey-Ho" just colle...

Re: ⚽Oxford United v West Ham United: LC R3 Match Thread

As I sent out the "Spurs lost to a zoo" Whatsapp on Tuesday night a chill went down my spine as I knew we'd somehow steal the "let downs" trophy from them. I don't normally do gloating for this reason and straight away it's come back to bite me on the arse. Note to self: Keep trap shut. Can't wait f...

Re: ⚽ Brighton and Hove Albion vs West Ham United: Match Thread

Powder puffs. 2-0 Brighton and we get bullied out of it yet again by this kind of side. They are playing to their strengths just as we have in the past under Fatty. We can't moan about it we need to toughen up or Pellers has to come up with a plan to counter this style of football. We can't judge on...
