Re: Brexit referendum result aftermath

But again, if minimum/living wage increases, it's going to be the Bermuda Triangle of prices going up to facilitate it. There is no easy answer unfortunately. I'm not pinning all of this on Brexit, far from it, but Brexit certainly hasn't helped, especially in regards to the HGV driver shortage. I ...

Re: Brexit referendum result aftermath

That'll be dictated by industry characteristics and, if relevant, regulation. If someone can add a further 10% to their price and make their company more profitable, the chances are that they probably will or have done so already. While true if you take something as simple as milk with relatively l...

Re: Not (yet) digging the EUROS

It must be said that if yesterday didn't get the blood pumping you may want to see a doctor.

That said if England go out this afternoon I'll probably watch some of the final and that's it

Re: Match #43/R16: England vs Germany (5pm, Tuesday 29th June)

How many games has Henderson started this tournament? It will be Rice and Phillips in the middle today and I would imagine (IF we're winning in the second half), Henderson will be the first sub on. While true, how many had Maguire started before the Cech game and did Ming's do anything wrong in eit...

Re: Brexit referendum result aftermath

Of course, this will all be paid for by higher prices to customers. It's the cyclical argument of minimum/living wage. Raise the cost of labour and you raise the cost to the consumer. Raise the cost to the consumer and you raise the amount a minimum/living wage needs to be and round you go. It's wo...

Re: Match #43/R16: England vs Germany (5pm, Tuesday 29th June)

Rice will be dropped tomorrow. Henderson and Phillips will be the middle pairing. It’s a shame for Rice he has taken the fall for the last game - but someone had to in order for Henderson to get back in. Can see this 100%. It's nonsense and we need Rice picking off balls and picking up dangerous ru...

Tickets for the Semi Finals and Finals

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/sportsnews/article-9733769/Euro-2020-Fans-vent-fury-charged-800-Wembley-final-tickets.html Now I know that UEFA, Wembley and frankly everyone involved in football likes to take the piss on ticket prices for big games, but **** me. I know people who's monthly mortgag...

In score yes, in timing, almost in quality... Actually Pogbas goal was pretty similar though much less power.

Can you imagine if they hold on to this...

All the talk beforehand about the Swiss needing to hold on and look to nick it, I think they've gone at them, looked the better side and thoroughly deserve the lead.

Can they do it for 90 minutes though...

Re: The problem with England...

There are a number of issues with England :newthumb: All true. Coaching is so, so important. Funnily enough the point about medals for participation doesn't jive with the coaching argument. If kids are coached and rewarded for developing their skills and playing the right way win lose or draw they'...

Re: Brexit referendum result aftermath

Unless you had the agreement of the EU, how can the UK legislate what a customer is charged in a separate jurisdiction? The contract has been signed in the UK. The terms are agreed in the UK. The money is paid in the UK. It could be outlawed if we choose. The roaming charges ban was able to be intr...

Re: Brexit referendum result aftermath

In other words Brexit meant different things to different people and the vote leave campaign took advantage of this confusion and even encouraged it with conflicting statements - a view that has been shouted down by some people on here :chin: The problem was less that than it didn't really mean any...

Re: Match #43/R16: England vs Germany (5pm, Tuesday 29th June)

Agree most of that Graza, not sure the 5pm KO will be an issue looking at the weather forecast. With our side of the draw it has certainly added to the pressure of the game, as whoever wins will surely be favourites to make the final. Favourites though come unstuck as we have already seen. Sterling...

Re: Brexit referendum result aftermath

Iron Maiden frontman who voted Brexit is now complaining about Brexit. Poetry in motion here  It goes back round to what a vote to leave would ultimately mean. In the smorgasbord of options that were mooted from day one there were lots of options that would have retained the rights of those li...

I know, I felt desperately sorry for her. I don't care if people want to be vegan , each to their own but regardless of what they say, it is a pretty restrictive way of eating and when kids can see all sorts being eaten by their peers you end up with a situation like this. Should add I didn't offer...
