Re: ⚽ West Ham Utd v Brighton & H/A: Match Thread (02/01)

I think fatigue had a lot to do with today. I can see why he started Carroll on but it goes against everything we're trying to do. We were much better with Noble and Antonio (Yarmelenko would do a similar job but better). Cresswell was outstanding. Zab was not remotely match-ready. We miss the gener...

Re: ⚽ Burnley FC v West Ham Utd: Match Thread (30/12)

I think we've seen from yesterday's games that the Christmas period is now all about stamina. If you give it all the other team will wilt. We've got to be massively up for this and have some fresh legs. Might be one for Nobes.

Many who wanted him to be something that he just wasn’t capable of being. Carroll was Carroll yesterday and it helped us win the game imo.
agreed. And Pellers knows exactly how to use him.

Re: Michail Antonio

Happy that he is on form, nothing against the man, but he is simply not a good enough footballer for this hopefully rising Pellegrini squad. I think we should get rid of him (and for the same reasons Masuaku) in the summer and simply get better players I think this is true. He made at least three s...

Re: Declan Rice

Fantastic news. He's been outstanding for 50 games now so this is not a fluke. His technique is superb, his temperament is perfect: calm but committed; his football intelligence is remarkable and he also seems to have the physique. He's much faster than you'd think and has a massive engine and doesn...

So looking forward to this. They are pretty good at times. They will score and so will we.

Delighted by the win and the sheer cavalier attitude but that was also rather sloppy at times. Watford will be much tougher but I have a feeling we will rise to the occasion.

Re: ⚽ Fulham v West Ham United: Match Thread

My head says that a plucky Fulham will battle for a draw.
My heart says that our creativity will out-score a team that can't defend.

Re: Relegation thread 2018/19

it's 'interesting' now we are not involved. You'd think Fulham will pick up under Claudio. Huddersfield and Cardiff have the worst squads but are organised. Burnley, Southampton and Newcastle should have enough about them to survive but are very vulnerable. I'd guess the new manager should improve S...

Re: Lucas Pérez

Thought he actually did ok today bearing in mind the service was less than great in the first half. Lovely pass to set up hernandez's chance early on. agree - he was involved in some of the intricate little passing moves, especially down the left with Hernandez and Anderson and got that little firs...

Re: ⚽ Fulham v West Ham United: Match Thread

I've watched Fulham play a couple of times this season and you really do have to think they shouldn't be down the bottom with that squad of theirs - Mitrovic especially has looked excellent this season , Schurrle too has popped up with a few crucial goals , they also have Kamara who looks a handful...

Agreed - but I wish we'd vary it a bit - the odd short corner might catch defences by surprise?

Re: Marko Arnautovic Signs

Just looked at our first goal on Saturday again and the little run from Marko to draw the two centre backs and leave space for Hernandez (who makes a brilliant little run in response) is worth an assist. Their link-up play was superb.

Re: Grady Diangana

One of the best things about this season has been that we have three amazing prospects aged 21 or under. I know one of them (Diop) was a massive signing but I'm amazed how he's turned into our best defender within a couple of months. To have a solid midfielder and an exciting striker as well was not...

Agreed. We've had all sorts of good little wingers over the years like Junior Stanislaus but he's the most complete player. Makes good decisions and has good technique. Seems to have loads of energy and a good attitude too. I wonder if he has a shot in him?

We learnt lessons. Adrian is unreliable Ogbonna is unreliable Fredericks has a lot to learn Diop is great Arthur is much much better than before Rice is outstanding Obiang is not fit Anderson doesn't have any confidence Diangana is a very tidy player with pace - great prospect Perez is a luxury Anto...

Re: Declan Rice

It's fun to compare with Rio. I am struck by the similarities in temperament and their reading of the game. Plus they both have excellent technique, can pass and their timing on winning possession is more important that their speed or strength. But the game is that much faster now and Declan is play...

Re: ⚽ West Ham Utd v Manchester Utd: match thread (29/9)

If their lot don't put in a shift and batter us then Jose really does deserve the sack. And so do the players. Huge game for Declan. He'll need to help the centre backs keep Lukaku isolated and watch out for Fellani. I'm glad we've got Diop in there - he's strong enough to deal with them.
