Re: ⚽ Chelsea v West Ham United: Match thread (30/11)

This will get nasty. Their form is centred around beating the lower teams. They are a very attacking side, but don't defend too well. Our static 4-2-3-1 with zero off the ball movement, high levels of laziness and an isolated Haller won't cause any problems for their defence, whilst their attack wil...

Re: Official Betting Thread

Kings Writ ran ok in third, annoyingly the non runner meant only top two placed, despite a humongous drift all day, ABSOLUTELY HUGE day tomorrow. Altior v Cyrname AND Bristol de Mai v Lostintranslation (and Frodon) up at Haydock. Hopefully some of the old timers will make a reappearance to this thre...

Re: Official Betting Thread

Ascot 2.40 - The Kings Writ 9/2 Ascot 3.15 - Orchardstown Cross 11/2 Ascot 3.45 - Speed Company 9/2 Newcastle 4.30 - Jonboy 11/2 I'm quite keen on the latter three. The Kings Writ is iffy as the trainer is well out of form, but the horse doesn't know that does he so... Thinking I might just keep it ...

That at least raises my hopes a bit.

Cannot see us doing anything other than losing on the fairly heavy side though.

Getaway Trump probably wins if he doesn't plough through the last, Politologue just outclassed & Benny's Bridge must have had something wrong with him.

Re: Official Betting Thread

Had another belter today with Happy Diva [14/1 SP] and Allmankind [11/2 price taken early] going in to give me 5x stake return on my EW yankee and plenty of £ from singles, forgot to post here though!... So here's tomorrow's if I can keep this good run going. Cheltenham 12.45 - Volcano 0.5pt EW 20/1...

Re: Official Betting Thread

Douvan is the almighty god, comes back from 550 days and does that to secure massive profit. I added La Cavsa Nostra, did all 4 of them in a yankee. £22 returned £299.30. Then did Douvan and La Cavsa (11/10) in singles and double. And Burlesque queen/tintangle in singles and EW double. Big day :D

Re: A future West Ham manager in the waiting

So people are prioritising pretty football over managers who CLEARLY have excellent man-management/motivational abilities.... when our current problem is having players who like to play pretty football but can't be motivated for ****. :eh: Who even knows for sure that Pellegrini plays pretty footbal...

Re: Welcome, Sebastien Haller

It's our lazy ****er midfielders that's the problem. Watch any other game and you see some nice pacey attacking football, watch us and you see our so-called attacking midfielders standing around and waiting for the ball with Haller completely isolated upfield, rather than making off the ball runs to...

Re: A future West Ham manager in the waiting

Why would Eddie Howe come here? He's revered down there by their fans, local to Bournemouth, seems to have control of the club, you never hear of any nonsense emanating from Bournemouth. He'll look at us and think **** stadium, **** owners, supporters that get on the club's back. If you really think...

Forum crashing during matches

I haven't seen this thread posted anywhere and figure no one even looks at the helpdesk... UTJ, please can you address the persistent issue in using this site during matches. The forum is a fantastic place for discussing incidents and so on during our matches - one of the best things about the forum...

Re: Official Betting Thread

I’m quite frankly bewildered by the 18/1 on offer for Robin The Raven in the 3.10 at Newbury. Has won four of seven hurdle races, is only effectively a few pounds higher than an easy win a couple of races ago. The yard is firing and the conditional jockey on board is a good one. Had him down as a 6-...

Re: Son Red overturned (non WHU)

Ridiculous, fly in behind, cynically, recklessly, endangering an opponent and it's a yellow, good to know, hope we do it non-stop now then. He didn't fly in behind, he slid in, one footed, boot on the ground, made minimal contact, yellow all day long, I have a 3 second clip (cuts out the Aurier sta...

Re: Andre Gomes injury (non WHU) -Please do not post links

Was never a red card for Son. When Sky showed the 'part-replay', Son came in from behind but there was barely any contact. Free kick, MAYBE a yellow. They then stopped the replay and that was just before Aurier came in and stamped on him. Atkinson even had the yellow in his hand ready to show to Son...

Re: ⚽ West Ham United v Newcastle United: Match thread (2/11)

At least we’re better than Southampton! "Man City 0-1 Southampton Been a long time since I've seen this level of committed defending, Southampton players are throwing themselves at every shot and stretching to make every tackle. James Ward-Prowse is the latest to block a City effort before Ilkay Gü...

Re: ⚽ West Ham United v Newcastle United: Match thread (2/11)

Even Gabbidon on the comms saying Zaba shouldn't be playing when Fredericks (who played pretty well earlier in the season before randomly being benched) is on the bench.

Now we could do with his pace going forward too, wtf is Pellegrini actually watching?
