Re: Possible Takeover Bid ?

I think because they never planned for it to be used for anything but athletics, Puff, they didn't see the need for retractable seating. It was massive blunder. To really improve the stadium in terms of making it football worthy, they need to essentially take the corners out, lessen the curvature of...

Re: David Moyes - 18th Permanent Manager of WHUFC

Speaking of Everton - look how their fortunes have differed from ours. They sacked Marco Silva about a month earlier than we did Pellegrini, but only appointed Ancelotti a week before we got Moyes in. Ancelotti has come in with a set way of playing, a fixed formation, and clearly defined roles for t...

Re: Possible Takeover Bid ?

If West Ham is already dead, why are so many people protesting and fighting for it? Are they? People are protesting/fighting for GSB to get out of the club. Which is fine, and I completely agree with. But they're not fighting/protesting to restore the history. Because that's not possible. Nothing -...

Presumably Liew is also not welcome by these tyrants.
I wonder if Steinberg is - wrote quite a flattering piece about Sullivan not so long ago, but seems to be flagging up their issues with a soft touch recently.

Re: Summer transfer window

UtJ has fired up the hammerman11 signal. I hope we have a list by 5pm. I think this move makes a lot of sense - it always was daft to not have alignment with the continental clubs. I imagine the Premier League was hoping those on the continent would fall into line with them. They didn't, and now the...

Re: Possible Takeover Bid ?

They could change it RB Stratford and have us work our way up from the Southern Division One South for all I'd care. The heart and soul of the club is already gone, sold for a lie. Does it matter what the name is? What's on the badge? I mean, I still care, otherwise I wouldn't be here. But I don't t...

Re: David Moyes - 18th Permanent Manager of WHUFC

Honestly - if there was one ex-player I'd want teaching our attacking midfielders how to time their runs into the box to get a f*** on from a big central striker, or to meet a cross that's gone over that big central striker's head, it's Nolan. Antonio used to be flipping boss at doing that as well, ...

Re: Possible Takeover Bid ?

Whilst I don't doubt that the original story is just BS - indykalia's an absolute wind up merchant - I think there might be signs that the two owners have laid the foundations for a takeover in recent years. Tripp Smith buying their 10% share in 2018 was the first sign. They're a specialist in takeo...

Re: ⚽ Manchester City v West Ham United: Match thread (09/02)

Probably not the game for Noble but I'm not sure we have anyone else who is going to be better at breaking up the play in the middle. I don't think we can afford to not play 3 holding centre mids. Is that not the point of Soucek? He made a lot of tackles, and interceptions, at the weekend, I though...

Re: ⚽ Manchester City v West Ham United: Match thread (09/02)

Bearing that in mind, what can we get from this game? Shape? Organisation? A pattern of play/formation that we are going to use for the remainder of the season? This was the point I was trying to make last week about Moyes and his ever changing formations - he needs to settle on one and play the pl...

Re: The January Transfer Window 2020

Ki Sung-yeung has been released by Newcastle. Don't think he's be a starter for us, but think he could add some good depth in the middle of the park. Tidy passer, quite neat in the middle of the pitch. Not the fastest, for sure, but if we needed to add another player there he'd be a good option.

Re: The January Transfer Window 2020

I don't believe there is anyway, in this day and age, that we do not know exactly what his wage demands are and whether or not we are able/willing to meet them, before we bid this kind of money on a player. Agents will know exactly what their client wants, and will tell us before we even go in and s...

So Moyes/the club don't fancy Diangana? weird.
I'm pretty much just putting two and two together - West Brom were reported as having bid to make Diangana's transfer permanent, we're now supposedly signing a young player that is (arguably) exactly the same type.

Re: Welcome, Sebastien Haller

I know transfer fees are often inflated but for £45m I was expecting an almost complete striker. Not up there with the very best in the world but not far off. Honestly, I'm surprised at how he's not worked out for us - he was phenomenal for Frankfurt for a couple of seasons, and had so many aspects...

Isn't Bowen a left footed right winger? We've got one of those who's tearing up the championship.
How do you think we're funding a move for Bowen?

Re: The January Transfer Window 2020

How can Aston Villa be anywhere near FFP I wonder. The answer to that, Modern, is that they sold their ground to their owner in May last year in order to fiddle their books and escape sanction by the EFL for the losses incurred in trying to reach the Premier League. It's the same thing Sheffield We...

Re: The January Transfer Window 2020

Arnie (on form) alongside Haller would be such a class partnership. If only sully got his dildo out of brady earlier ! Not a mental image I needed, thanks hammerman. Apparently we've been closely watching Bowen for some time (source:Ex) so I reckon we were planning on making a bid this summer but ha...

Just read that Man United are considering a move for Rondon after Piatek chose to move to Hertha Berlin for £23m.
