Re: Possible Takeover Bid ?

Whilst I don't doubt that the original story is just BS - indykalia's an absolute wind up merchant - I think there might be signs that the two owners have laid the foundations for a takeover in recent years. Tripp Smith buying their 10% share in 2018 was the first sign. They're a specialist in takeo...

Re: ⚽ Manchester City v West Ham United: Match thread (09/02)

Probably not the game for Noble but I'm not sure we have anyone else who is going to be better at breaking up the play in the middle. I don't think we can afford to not play 3 holding centre mids. Is that not the point of Soucek? He made a lot of tackles, and interceptions, at the weekend, I though...

Re: ⚽ Manchester City v West Ham United: Match thread (09/02)

Bearing that in mind, what can we get from this game? Shape? Organisation? A pattern of play/formation that we are going to use for the remainder of the season? This was the point I was trying to make last week about Moyes and his ever changing formations - he needs to settle on one and play the pl...

Re: The January Transfer Window 2020

Ki Sung-yeung has been released by Newcastle. Don't think he's be a starter for us, but think he could add some good depth in the middle of the park. Tidy passer, quite neat in the middle of the pitch. Not the fastest, for sure, but if we needed to add another player there he'd be a good option.

Re: The January Transfer Window 2020

I don't believe there is anyway, in this day and age, that we do not know exactly what his wage demands are and whether or not we are able/willing to meet them, before we bid this kind of money on a player. Agents will know exactly what their client wants, and will tell us before we even go in and s...

So Moyes/the club don't fancy Diangana? weird.
I'm pretty much just putting two and two together - West Brom were reported as having bid to make Diangana's transfer permanent, we're now supposedly signing a young player that is (arguably) exactly the same type.

Re: Welcome, Sebastien Haller

I know transfer fees are often inflated but for £45m I was expecting an almost complete striker. Not up there with the very best in the world but not far off. Honestly, I'm surprised at how he's not worked out for us - he was phenomenal for Frankfurt for a couple of seasons, and had so many aspects...

Isn't Bowen a left footed right winger? We've got one of those who's tearing up the championship.
How do you think we're funding a move for Bowen?

Re: The January Transfer Window 2020

How can Aston Villa be anywhere near FFP I wonder. The answer to that, Modern, is that they sold their ground to their owner in May last year in order to fiddle their books and escape sanction by the EFL for the losses incurred in trying to reach the Premier League. It's the same thing Sheffield We...

Re: The January Transfer Window 2020

Arnie (on form) alongside Haller would be such a class partnership. If only sully got his dildo out of brady earlier ! Not a mental image I needed, thanks hammerman. Apparently we've been closely watching Bowen for some time (source:Ex) so I reckon we were planning on making a bid this summer but ha...

https://www.football365.fr/west-ham-sinteresse-a-jean-pierre-nsame-young-boys-9660688.html Jean Pierre Nsame. We seem to be looking for a Sakho/Yakubu type. I'm sure nothing can go wrong if we sign a high scoring striker from the Swiss league. Willian Jose just been linked by the Guardian, seems Sp...

Re: David Moyes - 18th Permanent Manager of WHUFC

Moyes took his time to find his feet at Everton but once he did his record was very impressive. Between the 2006/07 season and 2012/13 when he left Everton they finished 6th, 5th, 5th, 8th, 7th, 7th & 6th respectively, their goal difference was positive each season, 6 out of the 7 seasons the goal ...

Re: Protests against the board being planned

That was not a requirement for a meeting . HU asked for meetings with the owners, without the OSB present and with an FSA rep. The offer was to meet 2 board members (most probably Brady and Warren) with the OSB and FSA rep could then be present. They continue to manipulate things and HU and WHUISA ...

Re: Protests against the board being planned

The board spin so much they should enter ice skating competitions. Honestly though (and I say this as an outsider) - I think HU should be looking at a compromise on the meeting and taking one when offered. I appreciate that the requested conditions haven't been met by the board, but a face to face m...

Re: The January Transfer Window 2020

Leicester, Man City, and Liverpool all have a standard way of playing which is established. Leicester generally play 4-1-4-1, and may switch that to a 4-3-3. It's rare they deviate from these two. They played a back three once this season, away at Newcastle, and have rarely used a 4-2-3-1. Liverpool...

Re: The January Transfer Window 2020

Oh come on... Moyes has only been back in for 5 minutes... Can't lambast Pellegrini for not changing to suit personnel and then blast Moyes for doing that. If he's still doing it come mid-March then yeah you got a point but at the minute he needs to find the best formation/lineup and at least he's ...

Re: The January Transfer Window 2020

Moyes has shown through his constant formation changing that he has no idea how he wants us to line up. Five games and five different formations. It's basically impossible to identify targets and recruit well/appropriately if you have a manager that has no idea how best to set up his team, or even h...

Re: The January Transfer Window 2020

I've honestly never seen Soucek play. Never really even heard of him before this link and supposed transfer. Bowen has a year left on his deal, leeds are sniffing around. If we cant beat leeds for a bloke with 1 year left on his deal we might as well turn out the lights.
If offered the chance to work with a coaching great like Bielsa or David Moyes, who would you choose?
