Re: SC Freiburg -v- West Ham - EL16 match thread - 07.03.24

Barring any injuries, we have to go with the strongest team possible. Cant see much change from the weekend for this game beyond the keepers.

Maybe Aguerd for Zouma, but other than that stick with the strongest we have.

Re: ✍ Welcome Maxwel Cornet

He was decent in a very poor, relegated, Burnley team. He had a better shot/goal ratio and goals per game return than most, if not all, of our attacking players that season and looked a good addition to the squad. His time here will only remembered by his knack of being offside, his bad injury, and ...

Finished Kin series 2 - very good, but series 1 I think was better.

It did seem to end a bit rapidly, albeit dramatically 😳

Lots going on to continue in series 3, should it happen….

Re: ✍ Welcome Tomas Soucek

He had a very good game tonight, his best for a long time. No coincidence, imo, that there’s finally competition for places in the middle and his performance has improved.

Really should be hitting the target with at least one of the chances he had though.

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!

Not that i hold any sway with what the Mail says, but the line from the article is actually "Among the candidates believed to be interesting West Ham are Julen Lopetegui, Steve Cooper and Graham Potter." note the word 'Among' Note also, the word believed Which pretty much translates as he...

Well that hasnt taken long. So called Technical Director wanting the final say on incomings. Remember, he has never picked a team, never won a point. Beautifully timed , 2 days after another morale sappong defeat, et tu brutu. He knows the position he is putting the Chairman in, essentially forcing...

Re: Tim Steidten - How should we assess his contribution?

That Guardian article from Jacob Steinberg looks like a rehash of other stories from the past couple of weeks with the Steidten/Liverpool stuff, but with the addition of the new recruits to Steidten's "team", including his brother. Assuming it's been put out there for a reason, and not jus...

Re: The Summer Transfer Thread 2024

Assuming we get a LW, then Paqueta comes back into the middle. But then we're all assuming that Paqueta is leaving. The way I see it, each starting position, barring GK and RW, needs work. That's either an upgrade to the current starting eleven, or decent cover. I make that 12 players to have a str...

Apologies if covered elsewhere, but what's with Tim Steidten's younger brother, Moritz, joining as Head of International Scouting and Recruitment ? Areola being motm, again, says it all. Their keeper had no save of note to make. Cannot believe once again Moyes is pinning his hopes on bloody Antonio. Thought it odd he started him, odder he kept him on so long. Other than his customary belly flop diving and lack of composure when in on goal, not ...
