Re: The January Transfer Window 2020

I actually think Lanzini is best coming in from the left, not as an out-and-out winger but almost like a wider no.10. But maybe the way to get the "best" out of him would be to sell him and reinvest? Same with Yarmolenko. We simply can't afford to have ineffective players on the bench earning £100k ...

Re: The January Transfer Window 2020

Can't believe the way Lanzini is getting murdered on here. I remember the way he linked up with payet, it was the best midfield partnership I've ever seen at west ham and hes terrorised many defences over the years scoring some cracking and important goals. Im 34 btw. I know payet raised everyone's...

Re: Protests against the board being planned

They are genuinely taking the p*ss out of us by posting that training ground video. They have absolutely no shame.

Re: The January Transfer Window 2020

But strange of Moyes to stick with Lanzini through his utterly useless displays at the expense of Fornals, only for Lanzini to be sold in the window.

I would sell him for sure. Wouldn’t get more than £10m for him though.

Re: The January Transfer Window 2020

Rice is absolutely f*cking quality. Fans from every club probably big up and dig out their own players more than they should do, but he, along with Fabianski and possibly Anderson, are the only three in our whole squad who wouldn’t look out of place at a top club.

Re: West Ham Utd v Liverpool: match thread

That is a championship defence and midfield. I said it at the start of the season but was hoping the Pelligrini tactic was to outscore the opposition. How much would it cost to sort out that mess properly? 120 - 150million? Instead we have spent the vast sum of 0 on any right back in the last decad...

Re: West Ham Utd v Liverpool: match thread

I have played many games of football and watched thousands of games over the years and have never seen a player like Masuaku who is so bad without the ball. He does not fill his area space when defending. He lets players get round the back of him. He is careless around our box and is totally inept ...

-------------------randolph zabaleta------diop------ogbonna------cresswell -----Snodgrass-----Rice-----Noble -------------Lanzini-----Fornals --------------------Antonio No point having wingers. Just compact the centre of the park and hope to counter With that defence and midfield, I could see them...

Re: Protests against the board being planned

I just for the life of me can’t see how any right-minded West Ham fan could ever accept these owners, after all they’ve done to us and the club. They could panic-buy, put on free buses and disband the OSB all they like, but the damage has been done and there’s no going back from that. They have show...

Re: The January Transfer Window 2020

I still think Yarmolenko can be effective... I'm not sure that sticking him on the right wing is making the most of his skillset. If he was fit, I'd have tried him as a second striker... he has a pretty good goalscoring record. Not sure. He’s looked sluggish and pretty heavy since he signed, and lo...

Re: The January Transfer Window 2020

I understand we cant buy a whole new team in January but we are going down with that defence. Staggering how not many can see how poor it is. Agree. It’s pretty awful. A central midfielder would help for sure (although unsure Soucek is the man we need) but ultimately that midfielder doesn’t change ...

Re: The January Transfer Window 2020

With 3 PROPER signings. A right back, Soucek and a forward, we could avoid relegation I’m not sure mate, I still think we’d need more. Cresswell and Masuaku are Championship level LBs. Yarmolenko and Lanzini are finished at the top level and, as much as I love Antonio, it’s mental that each game / ...

Re: The January Transfer Window 2020

I guess the biggest questions are, is he what we need and his is enough of an upgrade on what we have? Berge is available for a similar price, although not sure he’d come now. Would still need a RB, LB, AM and ST to have any chance of staying up, so this signing does feel a little pointless without ...

Re: The January Transfer Window 2020

Our biggest window for a long, long time, seeing as we have a threadbare squad with very little quality, lots of injuries and a horrendous set of fixtures, all while hovering just above the relegation zone. We needed numbers. We needed pace, power and fight. We needed those players in early. The own...
