Re: New Tottenham stadium (non-WHU)

Not sure you can just shut the fella down that quick. Why would he make that up? And they wouldn't reissue a member number though would they? There is a fair chance that the vast majority of the 175k with lower numbers than your mate are not even members anymore. Some might not even be alive. I have...

Re: New Tottenham stadium (non-WHU)

A Spurs mate of mine has been to the first two games and is going again on Saturday. All tickets bought on general sale. Did our first lot of games reach general sale? They didn't did they? Complete rubbish. I’ve got loads of mates that are members and haven’t got a ticket for a single game so far....

Re: New Tottenham stadium (non-WHU)

I've been warned not to go into it, Nesticles but because you addressed me about it, I'll try to answer. I do believe there's been a lot of short memories when it comes to how they got the Stadium that stank north London out at the time and for me the stench still lingers from it all. It was all we...

Re: In The Name of God.....Go

Everton wolves and Leicester will all spend big again all 3 have ambitious owners with serious wealth. Ok agree Watford are a bit of a mystery but they actually have a very deep squad, even if they sell I’m sure they will find a few gems. I think Roy will leave Palace and really they’ve underachieve...

Re: In The Name of God.....Go

Said it in Match thread we have no identity. The teams we are currently competing with all do, you can see what they are trying to do. Our approach is such a mish mash there’s no clear plan. I never wanted Pellegrini from the start, he’s just such a bland grey character a bit like Puel. We need some...

Re: ⚽ Chelsea v West Ham Utd: match thread (8/4)

Let's face it, we're just not a good football team.. I'm thinking a lot of these will be gone in the summer.. Quite worrying of late the likes of Leicester wolves Watford Everton look miles ahead of us. They look like proper football teams with an identity. We just look like headless chickens hopin...

Re: New Tottenham stadium (non-WHU)

I don’t think Chelsea will ever happen well not on SB site just too many obstacles. Remember seeing something about a nuclear railway track or something lol. Gonna be slightly embarrassing when Luton and Brentford have nicer stadiums than us. But clearly shows if the will is there to do it, no reaso...

Re: New Tottenham stadium (non-WHU)

My Spurs going mate went to the Palace game and these were his observations: Too far from the action Atmosphere a bit dead in the uppers Long queues for a half time wee and not enough male loos Longs queues for a beer Miss the start of the second half due to queuing 45 minutes of being penned in be...

Re: New Tottenham stadium (non-WHU)

Tbh that article is total nonsense and if you scroll to bottom it has #coyg lol. Spurs have been in the top 6 for a decade and their average position is probably better than Liverpool United and maybe even Chelsea. I’m not sure of the exact revenue figures announced today but they are not far off Ar...

Re: Renovation of Training Facilities/Rush Green

Why are we obsessed with what other clubs have? I know this is a bitter pill to swallow but we are nowhere near being a big club. Spurs, Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, both manc clubs, even Everton are bigger and better clubs than us. There is a certainy irony that the only people to claim we are a b...

Re: New Tottenham stadium (non-WHU)

Not sure how Levy does it. Spurs announced a world record operating profit this morning of £157m and still managed to build a £1bn stadium. Their wage bill is below Everton and they’ve already paid a large chunk of stadium off. Any hopes we may have had of years of austerity seem to be misplaced. Un...

Re: Renovation of Training Facilities/Rush Green

The whole “ Academy of football “ is great PR spin and probably adds some value to any kids we have. But the facts are we’ve had possibly two purple patches in our history in regards to youth. 66 and Rio Lampard Cole carrick etc. We haven’t actually produced a player of real note for 20 odd years. R...

Re: Renovation of Training Facilities/Rush Green

I actually find the whole concept of the youth team training apart from the seniors bizarre anyway. No other top club does that anymore. Liverpool are building a new complex so it’s all totally integrated like city Spurs Arsenal etc. We’ve all seen the benefits of St George’s Park and an integrated ...

Re: Renovation of Training Facilities/Rush Green

I’d like to say I’m grateful they are making some effort with the training facilities. But I hate to make comparison to spurs and even Brighton it’s just all looks so cheap and like they’ve hired the Irish builder off fawlty towers. We are a club with £200m revenue surely they can do better than this.

Re: New Tottenham stadium (non-WHU)

Yes NFL is narrower but the AstroTurf is still there just have to change the markings. Will be interesting to see how they go with attracting concerts. Considering a large amount of goers may be young teens. Tottenham isn’t exactly somewhere I’d want my teenage kid travelling to alone, and it’s not ...

Re: Olympic Stadium Discussion and Questions

The only silver lining on Spurs stadium is they may nick enough business off LS for it to go bust and we can pick it up dirt cheap. At least they can’t nick the baseball lol.

Re: Olympic Stadium Discussion and Questions

Hearing a billion pounds in debt and some serious issues on the horizon so I will take Rush Green all day at the moment.[/quote] Think that’s nonsense mate. Their debt is £350m which will be easily serviceable as their revenue is about to go through the roof. Pochettino has just signed a 5 year cont...

Hard to deny spurs appear light years ahead of not just us but everyone in terms of facilities and infrastructure. Place is better than a 5 star gaff ridiculous.
