Re: The summer transfer window 2019 thread

According to this account we are not interested in Pulgar:

" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Believe he has been fairly accurate this window but hope he is wrong as Pulgar seems like a good fit for what we need.

Re: The summer transfer window 2019 thread

He made a bad error vs Wolves no doubt, but to say he wasn't under pressure is simply not true. Balbuena played an absolutely pointless pass to him that he likely wasn't expecting, allowing him to be closed down very quickly. He actually played relatively well in that Wolves game and against Arsenal...

Re: The summer transfer window 2019 thread

Then he played 4 games for us, one of which he more-or-less single-handedly cost us a point under little pressure against Wolves. Big injury break, followed by more of the identical dawdling on the ball glimpsed in the Wolves fixture. Bloke's a liability.
Sanchez is not great but you are rew...

Re: Hugill v Savio

Hugill is definitely proof that the theory of buying "promising" players from the Championship does not always work. Of which Hugill, who was 26 when West Ham bought him, is not a particularly good example.
To be fair I didn't mention age at any point, a player can still be promising at 26-e...

Re: Hugill v Savio

Hugill is definitely proof that the theory of buying "promising" players from the Championship does not always work. Just seems like a mid-table Championship player who had a reasonable season and a half. When we signed him aside from wondering who the hell he was (and assuming it must be a wind up)...

Re: Marko Arnautovic

According to Simon Jordan on TS, we bought him for 20, sold him for 22, would have been valued on the balance sheet at around 8, and therefore we got rid of a problem for a 14 mill profit. Pretty good.
This does depend on the valuation method used for footballers in final accounts, businesse...

A song based around Skee-Lo I Wish would be great.

I wish I was Sebastian Haller
I wish I was a little bit taller
I wish I was a baller

This clearly needs lots of work

Re: The summer transfer window 2019 thread

Marcus Thuram just signed Mongladbach for 10 mil, bit gutted with that, was exciting when I've watched, knows where the goal is, tons of potential and 10 mil is shirt buttons
This is Lilian Thuram's son isn't it, christ I feel old...

Re: ⚽ West Ham Utd v Cardiff City: Match Thread

A basic tactic for this one... win corners, have snodders take them, stick Carroll in the box. And dealing with their big players when defending corners... stick Carroll in the box. Easy :) David it's lovely to hear from you but you no longer work here, I hear Southampton have a job going

Re: Felipe Anderson

Just like Arnie last year he needs time to settle in, flair players can be inconsistent but it has been clear the ability is there. Great game today and hopefully more to come but there will be some quiet ones and we have to accept that.

Leaking starting lineups really annoys me, as he gets it so regularly bang on i be amazed if clubs we are playing dont look at it, gives the opposing team such an advantage. Crikey are we now insulting players before they even play a minute for us, wasn't that enthused with him signing but that is a bit harsh.
