Re: Olympic Stadium Discussion and Questions

Any chance of sullivan out flags ? Another march Mass walk out after 12 mins, sullivan has been here 12 years ? Just a few thoughts I had a few hundred different protest badges made. I sold a few, not many and I donated a good amount to one of the fan groups and I’ve still got some left. I had 2 di...

Re: Late David Gold, Sullivan and Brady

The trick to a successful retirement is easy: Stop doing mindless boring things, and find other things you like, BEFORE you retire. Then keep your health good which means no stressful high blood pressure pastimes, like ……… There’s plenty to do, you just need inclination. Grand children help with th...

Re: Late David Gold, Sullivan and Brady

I'm 72, I've been retired 2 years and hate it. I am better off than when I was younger but it's no fun I’m 68, sold my small business last year, I’m far from well off financially. I’m still ducking and diving, selling stuff online and grafting now and again. I’ve asked friends around my age who hav...

Re: Late David Gold, Sullivan and Brady

I’ve just checked to see that he is 75 now. At what point in your life do you think, “that’s me, I’m done, I’m going to enjoy the rest of my life, spending my untold millions” ? It beggars belief that a man who must know he is unliked by at least half the support, still plods on being the centre of...

Re: Sausages

I've never needed to make enough batter that needs a mug of eggs, but if I did I'd go with a pro chef's recipe. As an 'enthusiastic amateur' I go with a 1:30:40 rule, 1 egg, 30 grams flour, 40ml milk. Maybe a splash more milk if the batter is too thick after resting. Smoking hot oil to pour the bat...

Re: The Non Racist Crap Joke Thread

Man driving up the road with a van load of monkeys and he breaks down, Paddy pulls up and says “can I give you a hand in anyway?” The man says “Paddy, if i give you 50 quid will you take the monkeys to the zoo for me?” Paddy “says of course” and off he goes with the monkeys. Anyway the man is still ...

Re: Sausages

Yorkshire chef Brian Turner said the easiest way to get the ingredients correct for Yorkshire Puddings is to use a mug and depending on how many you want, put the identical amount in the mug, eggs, flour, milk and add a pinch of salt. It does work.

Re: Sausages

Mondays used to be sausage making day when I was a butcher at a place in a village nearby, hams and a few other things as well. Cumberland, Lincolnshire and plain, we made hundreds of them and sold the lot every week. All hand linked, I can do 3 links but not 5’s. I was watching The Generation Game,...

The Pope is at his desk doing a crossword when one of his cardinals bursts through the doors. ... "Pope, Pope! Our Saviour and Lord is here! What shall we do?”
Say what? ... "Jesus Christ is at the gates of St. Peter's Basilica! What shall we do?”
And the Pope replies “Look busy”

Re: Manchester Utd vs West Ham Utd: match thread

A friend of mine, who is an Arsenal fan, messaged me after the game ‘Blimey mate, have to say the Hammers were bloody awful today, and against a Utd side that could have played a lot better too. Seems like several players would rather take 4 players rather than play the pass after going around 2 or 3’
