Many will disagree but i’d rather have nothing than that Conference League Uefa cash grab nonsense.
I’ve loved doing European games this season. Far more than any WHU matches in a long long time.

I’m excited we’re doing it again next season.

Scruffy that, think Cresswell wasn't anticipating the ball coming through to him and it caught him out.
Hopefully the last time we see him being a default starter in that spot. Wouldn’t bet on it

according to most sources (including his mum !!) he pretty much HAD agreed to go to Madrid. might have something to do with money. or image rights. or money AND image rights. he's only be 26 when this contract expires and can go to Madrid then for another 100M or so.. :winker: Fella obviously doesn...

Squad numbers. Right backs used to wear 2 left backs 3 and so on….and now coming on for West Ham United no. 42…. This is a part of the game that’s horribly missed isn’t it? Not just WHU either - Diego or Barnes at 10, Gazza or Dalglish at 7 etc etc Now you’ve more numbers than the Sesame St Count

I've not been to the London Stadium but I've seen it on the TV obviously - what strikes me most about our new place is it doesn't seem part of anywhere [ if that makes any sense ? ] - the Boleyn was a walk down Green St past all those markets , shops and food vendors , it was part of a community , ...

Re: Gambling shirt sponsor ban incoming

Top post hammerman. Like anything else, gambling is fine in moderation. The problem is that the football stuff is a standard gateway drug for those with addictive personalities though. It’s the acceptable face of what for some very average people can easily become a crippling all consuming addictio...

Re: Gambling shirt sponsor ban incoming

Weren't Jiffy Condoms almost our shirt sponsors at one point? "Real Men Come in a Jiffy" and all that? Might've been fun if we'd pulled it off (oo-er missus, etc). Not sure I'll ever like a shirt sponsor as much as Dr. Martens or Dagenham Motors. They felt very "us", in a good w...

Akinfenwa is a proper TV camera merchant. Why are the cameras all on him? The bloke has never been any good. He’s literally famous for being a a body builder that plays football. He’s actually a decent lad - incredibly polite and warm in person. And to be fair to him, he’s scored well over 200 goal...

Look forward to some crypto or other unregulated outfit to be plastered all over the shirts, that seems to be the only level our marketing department can engage with.
Probably swap Betway for Baillifs.

Doctor WHU

In my career as a pictures thingy, I’m currently working on a photo diary of 1985-86 for a chap, with photos he’s taken or accrued from every game that season, with little match reports etc. As someone who also attended the majority of games that season, it got me thinking: If you’d stopped watching...

Re: FAC / Weekend's Games

Is it me, or since Frankfurt seemed to almost encourage their fans to get on the pitch when we played them, has this copycat behaviour got a whole lot worse? No “seemed to” about it mate. I was sat in the Frankfurt end - was positively welcomed to stride down on to the pitch. By stewards and what I...

That bloke in the yellow t-shirt - looked like more of a ' Barge ' than a ' Headbutt ' to me unless he's well versed in the art of headbutting while running , it's quite a difficult technique to pull off .

Re: Sharpe assault [non WHU]

On the post-game pitch invasion itself, Lampard said: “It was [the] pure elation of fans who have come on the pitch after avoiding relegation. If it is done in the right way, let them stay on the pitch, let them have their moment. As long as they behave, no problem.” To be fair, Frankie De Tory has...
